Any of the Savannah crew going?

I'll probably be there mid-morning on Saturday looking for AR accessories.

I will be the guy wearing the "116th Bomb Wing-Memphis Belle 2" t-shirt.

I'll be on Tybee this weekend. Is it worth the 15 mile trip from the S. end on the island?

Is it usually any good?  I would be driving an hour, but I got an AR I've been thinking of trading.

How much do they charge to get in?

Just to browse-not worth the drive.

If you have something specific to pick up- maybe.

You would have to drive about an hour either way to get to a gun show from Brunswick. IMO, the Jacksonville shows used to be much better, but I haven't been to one in about 10yrs. Since you're new to the area, you might want to come up here once so you can form your own opinion.

Admission $7.00 (?)

Edit: IM sent on the AR

Well, it looks like I'll be there Sat. afternoon.....

This will be my 1st time at this show. I'll be shopping for HK MP5 and G3 parts. Do I stand a chance of scoring?

Just returned from the show.

It was MUCH smaller than I expected and I didn't see any deals.

There were plenty of WELL used AR mags for $10.00 and new mags in the $20.00 range.  I don't suppose they want to sell many mags.

I located 1 item I was looking for and the dealer was only asking 10 times retail. Yes, I said 10 times. I was looking for a HK stock pin which are all over the net in the $2.00 range. This clown was asking $20.00. I told him no thanks and moved on.

I was there from 1000-1130.

Didn't see Archer2 or Five2one.

Show wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible either. Prices were high, but nothing really surprises me any more.

Stripped lowers ran from 119.00 (stag) to 169.00 (RRA). Lots of Bushies and RRA M4geys for around $850.00. One guy had new 6520's for $1,050.00.

Jerky-0
Beanie babbies-0
Airsoft-2

I also had one "no-shit" moment when I heard some Jerry Garcia look-alike tell another guy,

"I brought two of those fully automatic AK-47's home with me when I came back from Nam".

<<rant on>>One thing I can't get over is the number of forgeries, fakes, parts guns, or "replicas" that are being sold to the public as original USGI.  Some of the fakes are good and some are very sloppy, but I have no doubt that unless the propper questions are asked by the buyer, they are sold as if they are original USGI and charged the higher prices. It's too bad greed took so many dealers and collectors down that road.  <<rant off>>

Sorry, I got bogged down with baby duty.......but I hope to get there on Sunday. I wish I had caught up with you so you could point out all the USGI forgeries.

HEy! I was there with the better half!

WAY TOO HIGH PRICED STUFF!

NIB Norinco milled AK 47........$1895 (this was REAL NICE though!)
Norinco AK47 underfolder........$1250 (2)
WASR 10 AK47.........................$339
Makarov.....................................$169
Chinese 40rd AK mags.............$40 ea

Better priced

K31 Swiss rifle .........................$99
M91-30 Mosin-Nagant.............$119
Stag lowers ...............................$119
RRA lower parts Kit...................$59

Usual asshats there...........vendors.........enough attitude for everybody............

Treedawg, It was a little smaller than usual. Normally there is more to the right of the entrance door in the "cubby" There was a lot of useless shit there also.....airsoft, knives, money (old), etc........

Not the best, but certainly not the worst...

Just got back.

I came so close to buying a used Beretta shotgun.  Its a 1201 FP listed for $525 and was only configured with the pistol grip stock for one year.  I passed it by because I'm still paying off baby hopitals bills.

I was intriqued by a Beretta 92fs too  ($500).

Instead I bought 100 rounds of  WOLF .45 ACP ($9 each) to try in my Para and 100 rounds of Georgia Arms .357 jacketed wadcutters ($10).

I was impressed with the old Swiss k31 rifles too. What round do they shoot?

I also saw the STAG lowers for 119 and RRA stripped loweres for 129.  How to Stag lowers compare to something like  a RRA?
