Without a doubt, Kelley's Island is a great day to spend with the family in a laid-back, relaxed atmosphere. Rent a bike or cart (no cars).

+1 Kellys island
what do you mean no cars You can take cars to Kellys. Three ferries stop at kellys and two of those carry cars and trucks . Marbelhead ferry and Miller Boat line. Bike riding (they rent bikes and golf carts there) and they have a state campground dont forget to see the glacial grooves . try to stop at Mona-Mi and take the wife out to a nice dinner the old winerey is popular with the natives and everyone from the islands will be able to point you to where it is . Planning ahead is a good idea Reserving rooms at bed and breakfasts is tough at the last minute walkins are frowned upon.

I guess I should have said very few cars.
Then again, it's been about 15 years.
Maybe there are cars everywhere now.
It used to be very laid back, with people just toolin' around on bikes mostly.

Check out the progress at Middle Bass Island State Park. Middle Bass is quiet & family oriented too. This stop would maybe take 1/2 a day tops... In Sandusky there's Lyman Harbor. That seems to be the new party place with concerts and such.

Keep an eye out for orange or gray waternazi vessels. Those assholes!

Drop me a line when you are in the area, I may or may not be working out there... Plenty of promotions coming up right now. With any luck I'll be the new boss at the Maumee Bay or Alum Creek office by then.
