Despite an announcement by the DOJ that these will be "Category 4" Assault Weapons, the vast majority of people continue to remain confident that ultimately we will prevail.  Besides, even if these do remained pinned they are 10,000 times better than having a FAB-10 or CARBON-15.  Sales continue and prices have held steady.  It is our DUTY to continue to flood the state with off-list lowers until they are on the list.  After they're listed it will be our DUTY to find MORE off-list lowers and get those into the state.

This is FAR from over!

Seems like it as there are fewer GB stickies over at calguns. More "seems like it"....

1- Some will get busted for violating SB23 as they just could control their temptation.
2- One GB will likely meet Joe Torres and get busted for profiting without a FFL.
3- One FFL will not see his lowers back from the DOJ.
4- Another looks like it is heading that way.

Pretty small considering the probability that there have been over 5K of these coming into CA.

Maybe the DOJ notice had the desired effect?

Since they can't kill sales LEGALLY they do it through veiled threats and intimidation.

Par for the DOJ.

And well played!

The group buy sales were losing steam LONG before the memo.  The reason for the lower amount of group buys is due to the higher availability of lowers offline.  There are a ton of FFLs now stocking them and we all know their phone numbers hased
Furthermore, even with a fixed mag these homebrew rifles are the coolest thing to happen in California in over six years!  If you haven't gotten any lowers yet you should and DEFINITELY consider an M-14 and FAL purchase because those are DEFINITELY getting banned.

Do you have some sort of evidence to support such a DEFINITE statement?

A friend told me. You know.. a friend of a friend's third cousin's dad's ex-mistress' college roommate's dog's puppie's owner, who is friends with someone really high up in the DOJ secretary chain-of-command!

Yea and that friend owned a big gun shop and personally spoke to the DOJ about the matter.

15 a day before the memo, now 1-5.  The memo did its job Id say.
