Its illegal because of the detachable magazine I believe. Semi auto shotguns cannot have a detachable magazine. I could be wrong but I am pretty sure this is why we can't have it. A couple of months ago I too was looking at this but was severly dissappointed when I found we can't have it. I hate this state.

The semi-automatic Saiga with the detachable magazine is NJ legal.

The pistol grip makes it illegal.

ETA: clarification

Think you could lay hands on a 20ga PK?

Hmm, So I guess one could do the pistol grip trigger conversion and slap a MAK-style thumbhole stock on the Saigia 12. Heck, Dick's sells semi-auto 12's with thumbholes.

ILLEGAL?

I have one and hunt deer with it!

Of course the mag is blocked to 3 rounds instead of the 5 it can carry during hunting season.

This one does not have the pistol grip which makes it "Jersey legal" but I have heard rumors of them trying to classify it as a destructive device or something like that.

I bought it over the coulter two years ago because it looks so evil...

Semi-shotguns in NJ cannot hold more that 5 rounds I believe...

555R,
Come on out for the shoot on Sunday the 30th of April after camping and I will bring mine out for you to try. Pick up some bird shot and you can have your way with her. NO SLUGS since she is a full choked shotgun.

Sorry, bout that, I mean dick's sells semi-auto shotties with thumbholes. Cant remember what, but it was somethin bit more boring looking than the Saiga by far.

My shotgun eats everything. Wolf ammo is fine.

50 yard range at the club for the shotgun...

oh thats perfect
50 yards to the berm?
is it ok for me to use slugs? as I want to sight it with ranger slugs
Link Posted: 4/10/2006 7:05:54 PM EDT
I'm sure the ones dick's sells don't use a detachable mag i.e. evil feature... Also, ATF considers thumbholes pistol grips...

Slugs in YOUR shotgun, not my Saiga 12 is fine.

50 yards to the impact area.
You can do 100 yards if there are not many people around.

She told me to buy it by using the voices in my head.
She knew it would freak out the liberals that drive by seeing me with my "assault shotgun" looking for Bambi.

...it does freak them out...

I believe you are wrong about the thumbhole stock being illegal. I have seen several AK type rifles with the thumbhole for sale in NJ.
