I was recently looking at a yugo SKS at a gun show in PA, and the seller said it was NJ legal. On the end of the barrel is a grenade launcher adaptor, which gives the rifle the ability to launch (using a blank) this tube thing that holds a grenade, or other round object. Is this legal in NJ? I looked in the Nappen book, but couldnt find an answer. Any ideas?

It doesn't have a pistol grip, or a flash hider, or a detachable magazine.

The SKS is listed as being banned in NJ if it accepts detachable mags. The Yugo doesn't.

Check it out further to be sure. I'm pretty sure that it is OK.

It's legal, I had my dealer call the State Police and they said it's OK.

Thanks for the replys. So I can buy this rifle and launch the grenade adaptor/holder thing? Do they allow the launching of projectiles at Ft Dix? Maybe I can get it in time for the next shoot.
