There are a couple signs there (look new) saying the CE is closed on Sundays. Apparently only archery allowed on Sundays. I arrived early last Saturday and met two rangers. They said there were some complaints from neighbors about ricochets. I was kind of surprised because I did not notice any house nearby. However, they said there's an old community behind that barrier stop. |

OK...obviously there is not going to be any adult supervision so I will be there to keep things under control.
Breycor...CE stands for Charlie Elliot. It's the name of the range we like to frequent. There are directions in the post lower in the forum regarding the shoot on the 8th. It is a public range and it is free. Hope to see you Saturday.

I cannot make it, darn it.
CE stands for Charlie Elliot Wildlife Management Area. It has a public, outdoor, FREE range. Pistol and Rifle. It is covered and has a not so portable port-a-potty.  Ok for a roll call I have:Cracker Barrel at 0800hrs Me The_Reject Bradd_D JarheadChiro Unknown or CE at 0930 for set up P806 006 The_Beer_Slayer (possible) Lost_Wildcat (possible) 98toyota (possible) Breycor (possible) Standard procedure applies, spelled out for new members. Meet a Cracker Barrel at 0800, Party is Eugene Stoner. Leave Cracker Barrel at 0900. CE by 0930. First Shot 1000hrs sharp. Hooters for lunch. For the new guys, to Cracker Barrel. Take I-20 east to exit 82 (138). Turn left onto 138. At the BP on the left, turn left. CB enterance is just before the big right hand curve. Byte's map to CE is pretty accurate. We can all caravan from CB to CE, and I promise I won't drive like Prof Bookhound. |

You also might want to bring a rifle and/or pistol and some ammo  I'll bring a camera also... dang, I need to get the last pics up from the 8th. edited to add.... I'll be there as long as it doesn't get too cold. The colder weather lowers my accuracy by 0.125 MOA |

We try to get there around 9:30 to setup. Range officially opens at 10am. We are typically there until around 1pm or later before we decide to call it a day and go grab some lunch. |
