That's bizarre. Rink's prices are usually about 10%-20% markup against Bud's Gunshop.
Their customer service is also in the shitter- bunch of arrogant pricks that would cut their mother's throats to make a sale IMO.

Only reason they even get 1 cent of my money is because they're the closest pistol range around me- and even that sucks- horribly ventilated (freezer in the winter, sauna in the summer), and terribly lit.

Are you serious? They had k 31's in shit shape for $400 plus. I used to love rinks in about 2005-06 great employees there. The guys now seem alright but I asked a few prices and they replied what it says is what it is.
Fine with me I just went to ray o'herrons and me and the wife picked up what we needed there.

You definitely get what you pay for there. Black Lung and Lead Poisoning can be had for $9.00.

Their Sig P229 basic model will run you $790~ at Rink's; BudsGunShop sells for $729. If you tell them this, they will tell you you will have to pay shipping and a $60 FFL fee if you buy from Buds. Which is false- Buds ships for free, and my FFL costs $20, + NO 8% TAX.

= Buds: $749 out the door vs Rinks: $853 out the door. Easy decision.

I went there last week looking for a Remy 700 Varmint. Buds has them for $547, they originally wanted $620. I was looking to get it for about $560+ tax, cash. No go on that one.

So I bought it from Buds, saved the money in tax and will pay the FFL $20 next week.

Id rather wear a respirator & pay $9.00 than pay what they want to shoot at GAT....

Not to mention thieir prices.....Holy Jeebus !! I went to GAT for some 9mm Makarov the other day & about craped myself......$21 for a box of 50.....It aint .380 auto for gods sakes its 9mm Mak !!

I used to live in Lemont & shot at Rinks a few times (in the 90's & early 2000's) & for what they got, its a decent price if you just want to do some shootin'.......

Went there today to check out the AK74s and the range.  I was treated very well and they were flexible on the AK74, with 4 mags.  The range could've used some ventilation, I'll agree.  Was very busy too though, full house.  Not really any worse than most of the places in the Chicagoland area.  I'll go again, at least until GunWorld is open in Lombard, or if I hear about a deal there again.

Went to Rinks to shoot last week. Completely full. Coughing and blowing black goo out my nose for hours. Mega Sports range
is much cleaner, ventilated and well lit for $24.

Not sure where else to go. ISRA range membership is a bit more than I can justify, considering how often I would use it.

I wouldn't hold my breath on that one...

They've been trying to open for almost a year now.  The company that is installing the range equipment is dicking them around.  The new location is about 5 minutes from my house.  I can't wait either.

Exactly what purevl2 said...Its been a long time coming & I don't see it moving any faster....

There was supposed to be a huge indoor range & gunshop coming to Carpentersville (RGuns had something to do with it) & when I went up to RGuns to buy some toys, they told me that they were getting dicked around too,,,,
