Picked up a new family car (2004 Pontiac Vibe/Toyota Matrix) and would like to get the back passenger & rear windows tinted.

I searched the web & then called Ziebart: $239 - seems like a lot.  Then I called Express Tint way out in Centerville:  $219 - better, but, I found "LA Tint" website and they are only asking $149 - although the reviews were not very good (poor warranty service, coating turned purple, bubbles, etc).

What can you recommend for a reasonable, quality place in/near Arlington or Alexandria?

I had a Suburban done in Tyson's Corner LA Tint and it lasted for years, diff went out and junked the truck.  I ended up with one of the metallic higher end tints.  They are suppose to have a lifetime warranty, but never had to test it.  If I recall, there is one in Arlington/Alexandra on Rt 1.

The other option is to call one of the local dealers or indy mechanics and see who they recommend locally.

Don't know if it's too late to offer input, but I had my 350Z done at LA Tint in Sterling a few years back.  They did a fantastic job too.  Lifetime warranty on the tint and it looked great.  Not a single bubble or a wavy cut in the whole job.

If you can make it out to College Park, MD, Fresh Designs is good as well.  They are right off the Beltway on Rt. 1.

I've been satisfied with both places.

Well it seems like LA tint has a few satisfied customers here (and I know arfcomers are hard to please!).  I will give them a shot and report back in case anyone else can benefit from the info.
