Hi Guys,
I was looking for a reasonable FFL to do the transfer.  I usually goto Chester's Hunting and Fishing in Ronko.  For those of you who know him it depends on what kind of mood he is in for the price you will get.
Thanks all!!
JT

Chester is a brainless dope.  I wanted to do a transfer of a match rifle fromFulton Armory, and  he told me he wouldnot do it because of insurance reasons. WTF?  Then i asked him about an AR-50 and he blew me off. so the next day i bought one somewhere else.I go to Gary at Classic Firearms in mineola, i know its a haul from Holbrook(where i live) but its well worth it. I have NEVER been dissatisfied with any of my dealings with him.

The FFL is authorized to charge sales tax on the transfer fee but is not authorized to charge tax on the cost of the rifle. You are requited to remit any taxes due on Internet sales when you file your NYS tax return.

I like Chester but he not the btihtest bulb in the box.  He wanted to charge me sales tax on the purchase price of a rifle he transfered to me from out of state.  Told me he would go to jail if he didn't.  I told him to send the rifle back and he changed his tune.  He is very paranoid about the NYS assault weapon ban.  He also charges way too much for a transfer.  Main Street Magazine is the only FFL I use now.

Met Dean from Main St Mag today for 1st time.  Super knowledgeable guy.  Been shooting guns and writing about them in major gun mags longer than I have been alive.  Great guy to talk to learned a lot.  Super fast service, sent out ffl fast, fast faxes, etc.  Very resonable ffl fee $30 for long gun with background check.  I would highly recommend him to anyone.  He is in Westhampton right in town.

I wonder what they would charge for three Stag lowers.  $180 for 15 is a very good deal indeed.

They should transfer up to three lowers per 4473 for one transfer fee plus the cost of the trigger locks.

ETA: corrected - S/B three lowers

You can only do up to 3 transfers on 1 4473 then you need another forn for multiple transfers
