Pretty straight forward.

California has some goofy laws and I was wondering if I went with my brother in law to his parents house and wanted to go shooting, can I take my cz455 that has a threaded barrel?

rimfire rifles are largely exempt from all the stupidity. even semi auto "assualt" style pistol grip rifles with detachable mags are legal. just no baby killing high cap mags. you are fine.

ETA this is in the silencer subforum. Dont bring those...

Threaded barrels are only illegal on semi-auto handguns that use a detachable magazine (excepting those registered as assault weapons). They are GTG on everything else to the best of my knowledge.

All of my Swedish Mausers have threaded muzzles. No worries.
