Greetings

I just got a Membership at a shooting range.
Now I can shoot when closed or after hours but I need to bring my own targets.
With winter closing in on us I was thinking about this as one target I could use at the range.
I’m sure someone must make a RC Snowmobile that’s battery powered.
I don’t want to mess with fuels. I’ll recharge the batteries to keep costs down.
I’ll make some kind of “antenna” for the balloon.

Has anyone done this?
Do you think it will work?
Anyone play with a RC Sled in the snow? Will our coldness drain the batteries?

Other Targets?
Targets must be at least 2 feet above the ground.
Self-resetting as I don’t want to do much walking.

I’ll be shooting 5.56mm and 45acp.

I've seen RC Planes (some loaded with explosives) flown as targets, suprisingly hard to hit though.

LOL Mike
I guess the rc thing is kinda silly.
On monday ( my day off ) I'll check the shops in town for Metal targets.
I have seen some for handguns but none for rifles.

Edit with update :

I found this ad.
Ski-Doo RC Snowmobile
$149.95
Rechargeable radio-controlled snowmobile runs on snow, sand, or grass, with a 100' foot range

OK, too much money not enough range.
So much for that idea.

I have a self reseting 17x22 rifle target that I got from a guy who makes them on snipershide.  He is out of vegas.
Target will handle 50bmg (5/8 AR500) so it is expensive and heavy

If you know someone who travels to vegas they can bring it back as a checked bag and save you a tony on shipping.

IIRC it was about $225

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
That's the kind of target information I was looking for.
17x22 that would be about torso size. I like that.
Able to handle 50 bmg way cool. Do you think my 5.56 hit hard enough to trip it?
$225 I can afford that @ PFD time.
Heavy, can one person carry it? Shipping must be a killer. Care to guess the cost?
I wonder if I could find some 5/8" AR500 in town and make my own.
Is there a chance you could post a picture of your target or we could meet
and I could look it over ? I'm interested in the trip & reset parts.
I can talk to the Cowboy shooters and see if they can help me build something like what you have. They are nice and friendly People.
I will check out Snipershide tonight after work.

Thanks Again
