What did you seal it with and how is it holding up?

I intercepted some lumber on the way to my burn pile this morning.  One mans trash...    .   It's all put together I just need to weatherproof it.

I have a gallon of linseed oil somewhere around here.   Good option?  It's going to be parked outside permanently.

Haven't done anything to mine, just used pressure treated outdoor lumber. I would think any good deck stain would work. If you go cheap you will just have to apply it more often.

Mine totally decomposed

I went ahead and bathed it in the boiled linseed oil with the understanding I'm going to have to do it a couple more times to make it last.
I may put something else over the top later but I have the blo on hand.

Excuse my filthy workspace.

I figure they are disposable (wood spools)

If I had a permanant shooting spot Id build one out of concrete and glue some kind of soft shit on it - maybe that green outdoor carpet found in most trailer parks

lol, is it that bad?  I tried to go a little light on anything I'd have to touch.  Maybe a couple of those plastic/foam ass pads are needed.

BLO doesn't dry so well. You need a good month of really hot days to really make it set up as it were

Rino Liner .... just dont go to the bathroom while your hands are still covered in the stuff like that guy did on the jeep forum some time ago

Well, it's not too oily at the moment, but I may try something else if I feel like it needs another coat.
I've been looking for something to dump the BLO on.  It was lurking in the garage for several years.

Thanks for the suggestions.
