Coming down to Vegas for a visit, want to take the in-laws who don't walk too well to Hoover Dam and have a couple of questions.
1. How good a view do you get from the Tillman bridge looking down on the dam?
2. Can you stop on the bridge or are there any observation areas?
3. After you drive over the bridge how far is it to turn around so you can drive back to Vegas?
Thanks for any info.

You can't drive and stop on the bridge. Drive like you are going to the dam , and on the way down there is a parking area on the right, no fee to park.

It is a bit of a walk , you can take the steps or the windy zig zag concrete walkway up to the bridge walkway.

You can walk all the way across the bridge.

View is great, here is a shot I took recently from the bridge

There are wheel chair ramps so the whole walk is wheel chair accessible. Maybe round up one of those electric jobbies.

As posted above, an awesome view! That bridge is WAY up there.

You wont even know that you've been across the bridge when you drive over. The walls are high and thick.

Not too far.
Thanks for any info.

It's worth the trip for sure. Head down to the dam as well, you can walk all around on top of it, which also gives a great view of the bridge.

We have been down on the dam tour but my in laws are in their 70's and don't walk that well. We figured the overhead view would be fine for them. Thanks for the input.

You can't see anything from a vehicle on the bridge.

True. Even in a 18-wheeler.
