Below is the schedule for instruction at the Quantico Shooting Club for 2006.   Please note a major difference between this year’s schedule and how we did things in past years.  I need a 100% deposit within one month of registering for the course or the shooter may lose his seat and have to go on the wait list.  There will be NO REFUNDS for students who cancel within 30 days of the class date UNLESS their slot can be filled off the wait list.  (Send checks made out to QSC, Inc to QSC, Inc, Box 212, Quantico, VA 22134.)  This may seem a harsh approach, but people need to understand that they are making an agreement with PROFESSIONALS and that this is a discretionary income activity.  That money should be considered spent when the check is sent in.

Also, a certain high ranking public official has taken to occasionally riding his bike at Quantico on Sunday mornings.  When this occurs the ranges are 100% shut down until he leaves, usually at noon.  This may impact our training schedule and force us to shoot later on Sunday evenings, so plan accordingly.

To register for the course, email [email protected].  Be SURE to put in the subject line which course you’re signing up for.  Then send your check into the QSC.  For more info on the QSC go to www.quanticoshootingclub.com.  The clock starts running on your 30 days to submit payment when I acknowledge your email.  Guys, I will be brutal on this.

John ...  You've got mail as I try to stake a claim to a place in Pat Rogers' seminar.  Am I right interpreting this listing as a three-day carbine class, or will it be two-day carbine plus one-day pistol like in 2005.  If the latter, I'd like to go for both of 'em.

Ditto.  I made the list last year, but had to drop it ...  because last year, this fat old-timer was not prepared to deal with ol' smiling Sol, who was taking a Summer vacation in Quantico.  It was especially embarrassing after years and years of Army training -- during which the principals of avoiding hot-weather injuries were pounded into our skuills -- and the cadre having done their best to gently prod me to act correctly.

I'll be ready this year, if moving a lot more like Uncle Joe (from the Junction, Pettycoat Junction) than most all of y'all high-speed, low-drag operators.

Larry,
Not sure what you are thinking of, but i did a 2 Day Pistol and a 3 Day Carbine Class in Aug 2005 at Quantico.

Just not enough time available to do it this year.
Graig is doing fine! Thanks for asking.

Hi Pat,

Recalling the 2005 schedule, I just wanted to be sure that John knew I wanted to attend the three days you were here, without regard to whether it was a 3-day carbine class, or the 2 + 1 class schedule of last year (in the possibility that the breakdown didn't make it to John's announcement).  Sorry if I caused any confusion!

Larry- you are confusing me now...
I have never taught a 2 day carbine -1 day pistol class commercially.
I do have a pistol comonent in the 3 day Carbine Operators Component. However, it is not, and never has been a 2+1 course.
The Quantico Class last year was a 2Day Pistol and 3 Day Carbine.

A Pat Rogers sighting on ar15.com.   Even better than if Chuck Norris had posted!

Pat Rogers is the code name of Chuck Norris.  Now I'll have to shoot you and anyone else who reads this.

[HomerSimpson]  D'oh!  [/HomerSimpson]

And that explains that.

Regretably, I seem to recall that memory was not the first thing to go as I entered my twilight years ... but I forget what else besides my memory is on the decline.  The only good thing about getting older, is that it beats the alternative.

Thanks for the explanation, and please accept apologies all 'round for this detour.  I look forward to the seminar!

We have this year's lucky contestants...and they have 30 days to cough up the $480 or they lose their seat.

Wait list is open on Pat's class.  I've got openings in all the others, but Farnam is filling up as well.

Looks like I'm set for the Pat Rogers class in May.

Anyone have a link to the AAR for the class last August?  I couldn't find it in the Archives.

I don't speak geek and therefore can't hot link.
Go to 10-8 Forums. Training Forum, Page 2 and there is an AAR for the Q class dated 9/23/05

Thanks Pat & Anthony.  Ive read the AAR on 10-8 (and a few of the other write-ups of Pat's classes there) but I was looking for the one that was done here on ARFCOM.  I'll wait and see if those months ever make it to the Archive.

There are still about 3 months worth of threads missing in space. They were removed to clean up the site, but they still haven't been put onto the Archive Server.
