Keep in mind that for this month, Tactical Rifle and the 600 yard PRS are swapping weekends. And because there is a 5th weekend, we will run rimfire matches on the 31st. |

AK vs AR Team Match Rules.
You do not have to have a teammate to shoot the match. You can shoot your normal rifle or pick a commie gun of whatever flavor you want. If you are shooting in the Team Match... One of the team members must shoot a non AR-15 rifle. One of the two rifles must have irons sights or a non-magnified optic, which is a hard way of saying dot. Farthest target will be 200 yards and it will be a full sized steel IPSC and a 14 inch diamond. Steel core ammo is allowed at this match and only this match. All other matches it is specifically NOT allowed. Both shooters must let match staff know who the team members are. Scores (match points) from both shooters will be combined to establish Team score. Plaques for 1st thru 3rd place teams will be handed out following tear down of the noon match. Sign up opens up on 01 Sept. Dont drag your feet. If you sign up, please show up. |

3 stages shooting over/around/through obstacles. A good mix of prone, kneeling, supported, ect. We will also be using a VTAC wall this year. Minimum round count 90.

For August in Pueblo it was not that hot and we got done before the wind and rain showed up. Huge fun today despite mother nature kicking up the winds to 20+ MPH for the noon match. We had an excellent set up crew and and everyone chipped in and we were broken down in record time. Thank you everyone.

Good times today despite the first cold match of the year. Luckily Charlene was thinking of us and brought hand warmers. Thank you.
Also huge thanks to everyone that got there early to help set things up. We were ready to go by 8:10. We also had 4 new shooters today and everyone had a good time. The weather forecast isnt looking good for this Sunday. However... as of now, we are still going to press on with the match. It might be a touch chilly, but as long as it is in the 30s we will try it.

Fun times today, and the weather was not that bad. It was in the high teens for set up and it eventually made it to around 45 by match end. We had excellent help with set up and were checking zeros at 8:00 and started the match at 9:00.
Huge thanks to Dana for bringing his new mover out. Pretty cool target. The Corona bottle was tough. We had several now shows again today. Please, if you sign up for the match show up. Despite some stupid winds, we all survived. I guess it was a poor choice on my part to shoot a 223 today...
We had a ton of help getting things set up today. I really appreciate it. It makes the whole day go better. It is absolutely worth noting that we had one father daughter team and two father son teams out there today. Pretty damn cool. I was hoping the weather for tomorrow would improve, but temps in the teens for set up, a high of not even 40, combined with mud/ice/snow at the range make for a not fun day.
We will do it again soon. The rimfire schedule for the rest of the year is 30 May 31 July 29 Aug 31 Oct 28 Nov 26 Dec Dont forget that sign up opens on the first day of the month. If you want to get stuck on the wait list, take your time signing up. If you want to shoot, sign up as soon as they open up... |
