Fun matches today. The morning match went off without a hitch. It started out a little chilly but by 2:30 the temp had come up about 50° or so to about 90°. For the PRS portion we used the new AA Targets piano keys/wind chimes/wind doping targets at about 160 yards. Hit and spin the center target (about .75 inches wide) and you get a point, hit/spin a white one and get nothing other than knowing where your bullet went. Very cool target. Very hard target.
We also shot the good guy/bad buy KYL off a rooftop, Charlene and Sam spanked us all. Sign up for October matches opens at midnight on the first of the month. Every match these past few months has sold out in a hurry, so don't drag your feet. Don't forget to shoot all the stages before you leave, getting a zero on a stage kinda hurts your score. Fun times yesterday. While it started out cold, it warmed up to t-shirt weather by noon.
Lots of high scores with light winds to deal with. The morning position of the day was inside the trailer with one bag for the first string, and anything you wanted for the second string. The catch was you had to zero your turret to turn it into a holdover exercise as well. That is assuming you had a 100 yard zero. If you use a 300 yard zero, you just got to shoot. Or, you simply forgot to hold over even though the stage concept was your idea... The Bison Tactical Udder bag was a huge help and most everyone opted to use it. This Sundays Tactical Rifle Match is the last of the year. From Nov to March 4th Sundays will be rimfire rifle matches, precision and PRS.
While this Sundays match is full, there is traditionally a lot of movement on the wait list the last 2 days. So if you aren't on the wait list and you want to shoot, you should sign up. We had an awesome set up and tear down crew. Huge thanks to those that come out to make it happen. I have already had a few people email me prop design ideas, PLEASE keep them coming. As I mentioned today, this was the 19th year of this match. Without Justin and Charlene, this match would not happen. Please tell them thank you for all they do. I am looking forward to season 20. I am trying to come up with a way to add a 4th stage and a 4th squad so everyone can shoot. See you all in March 2019. |

This Sunday Pueblo will run a 6 stage USPSA match. All 6 stages will be USPSA classifiers. Pistol Caliber Carbine will be allowed. If you want to a second gun, be sure to sign up twice.

Target distances for the move up to the 600 yard range have been finalized.
300, 410, 615 and 390. Both matches for this weekend are 100% full and a wait list is going. Only a few slots remain for the Precision and PRS Rimfire rifle on the 4th weekend. |

I would not say it is an easy match, but it isnt impossible by any stretch. Know where your rifle hits from 80-300 yards and you will do fine. Post #1 in this thread all the latest and greatest info. We had an awesome set up crew (Daniel, Tim and Dave) that showed up at 7:00 to get things going. We were set up in record time despite every target location being new. Everything is set to go for tomorrows match. We still have a lot of people on the wait list. If you didnt register for the match within the first 11 hours, you were put on the wait list.
If you were waitlisted and I have not contacted you directly to offer you a slot, you are still on the wait list. There will be no walk in slots avail. Set up starts at 7:00 and the mandatory shooters meeting is at 9:30. Please be there no later than 9:00 to set signed in and ready to go. |

And, Wednesday afternoon Steel Challenge Matches start up again this week. The weekday steel challenge matches do not require sign up ahead of time on Practiscore. All other Pueblo matches do require signing up at Practiscore. See you there. |

We are going to try splitting this match up into 2 separate matches of 24 shooters so we can accommodate 12 more shooters. One match will start at 9:00 and the second at noon. If you are interested in making this happen, your match staff will need help. If we dont get the help needed, we will go back to one match of 36 shooters and 20-25 people on the wait list. |

This Saturdays 600 Yard Precision Rifle matches (830 and noon starts) are sold out. If you sign up now, you will be on the wait list.
Don't forget to contact the Match Director (me) before you sign up if you are not certified to shoot on the PWSA 600 yard range BEFORE you register for the match on practiscore. I only have a certain number of time slots to get people signed off. And we are shooting Steel Challenge matches every Wednesday afternoon/evening as of 2 weeks ago. Come on out. Be there before 5:30 and we will get you shooting. |

I have a few slots open for the noon Tactical Rifle Match on the 26th. The morning match is full.
Both the 600 yard matches are full. If you want to shoot them, get yourself on the wait list in case I have an opening. The USPSA match on the 12th has plenty of room, but it is capped at 60 shooters so dont drag your feet signing up. |

Lots of shooting combined with all four season in one day made for a fun match.
100+ people came out and made it happen. With Burris donating over $5,000 worth of stuff to the prize table and a cash payback of over $4500 it was a really good time. Please be sure to contact Burris and say thank you for supporting us/you. The Friday shooters got to sleep in and the Saturday shooters got an excellent lunch. For 2020, again plan to shoot Friday and/or Saturday. 22-23 May. Great showing yesterday. With the new match format we were able to accommodate an additional 12 shooters and with the smaller squads things seemed to move much faster. Help with set up and tear down was perfect. Thank you for making it happen.

Tonight at midnight you will be able to sign up for the 7 different matches in Pueblo.
USPSA/IPSC. 2nd Sunday. 600 yard precision PRS rifle. 3rd Saturday 0830 & 1200. Tactical Rifle. 4th Sunday. 0900 & 1200. Rimfire Rifle Precision. 5th Sunday. 0900. Rimfire PRS. 1200.
