Hey folks. I'm from Ohio and I've been to SD prairie-dogging a couple times. I've always gone on public lands in the past. I'm curious about tribal lands.

1. Is it safe?
2. What are the rules for camping?
3. What is the best time of year?

On public lands, I have to wait until after June 14th. Not so on tribal lands.

Any advice appreciated.

I ususally hunt Crow Creek if I hunt Indian Land at all.. but I generall try to avoid the rez... Hand County and Crow Creek have been quietly at war for about 100 years..

There is plenty of private land to shoot pdogs on.. land that the land owner won't charge for... especially east river... north of crow creek...

Hardly anyone shoots PDogs east river so it's wide open.. Stop in Turtle Creek in Miller or D&K Outpost in Highmore and start asking around... You'll find places around there where you can whack em with a 22...
