OK I know it is not an M16 but

I have been approached by Tom at HKPRO.com to gauge interest in a one
day MP5 workshop for the Atlanta area, targeting the May timeframe.
Please let me know if you are interested. If you have an MP5 that would
be best, however if you only have a semi ( like me ) that if fine too.
(either HK94 or USC, or other subgun) and a sidearm. You would need about 1000 rounds of
ammo each
Here is what Tom said we would cover.

In a one day course, it would cover most of the proper techniques for
mounting, carrying and firing the MP5 in both stationary and moving
positions, proper semi auto and full auto techniques, proper methods for
loading, unloading and stoppage drills.

Proper care, cleaning, lubrication, history, nomenclature etc can be
covered too depending on time.

We would graduate to static turns, moving turns, firing on the move,
multiple targets, and depending on talent and safety on hand, two man
movements.

Tom's Bio
A a 20 year veteran of the Columbia, MO Police Department, currently at
the rank of captain, and commander of our dept. SWAT team, HK certified
Master Submachine Gun instructor, and former director of the HK
International Training Division.

I think this is a great oppurtunity to learn from a great instructor.

Here is what I need to get started.

Help me find a full-auto friendly outdoor range to host the class. Are
there any in the area??
We would need the following Targets (could be IPSC or IDPA targets,
stands etc. Non-fall-over steel
would be ideal too, like the Port-a-Targets.)

Let me know if you are interested. The more folks we have the cheaper it
would be, as we have to cover Tom's expenses, fees. etc. If you are not interested but know of a range that we could use, I would appreciate it!

Thanks

What if you don't have a subgun?

We are targeting Mid May.

If you do not have a subgun, semi's are OK. I will let someone use my full-auto Uzi if they want to. I plan on using a semi HK94 SBR.

The cost depends on the number of people and the cost of the range. I am hoping to get it under $150.00 but the instructor has to fly in, be put up in a hotel, rental car, + his fees. Tom's resume is quite impressive, and I know he will teach a great class.

Email me off boards with you name and contact info (phone number is good enough) if you are interested.

Right now the details are above as we are in the planning phase. I wish I could be more specific, but we are still determining if it is feasible.
