Hey all, been living in Portsmouth NH for a couple years now but im a new gun owner (about 4 months). Anyhow- i'm looking for a decent gun range close by but so far i'm failing miserably. The Manchester range is nice but it's too far away, there's Bob's Tactical Range in Salisbury but I'll get shot if I try to bring a firearm into the state of Mass. This place is close by-> http://www.piscataqua-club.org// but they have no indoor range.. as you know it's pretty damn cold out this time of year. Any suggestions on a place to shoot thats close to Portsmouth? I think i can safely go to Maine with out prosecution, not 100% sure though. There has to be somewhere for the LEO's to go right?

Any input would be great, thanks.

Tough to find an indoor range near Ports. Exeter sportsman's club is down on 108 in Exeter, and the range fees are reasonable. No indoor range, just a covered 100 yd lane. They've been having some trouble with the town and so might not be there for too much longer.

I can't recommend an indoor range other than Wolf/Manchester Firing Lines. Rileys in hookset used to have an indoor range, but as far as I know, it's LEO only. Nashua fish and game is the best around, facilities-wise, but the drive out there makes it kind of an all-day thing.

Check out Major Waldron's:

They have a 25 yd. indoor range, plus a 50 and a 300 yd. outdoor range, plus setups for skeet and sporting clays.

They're having open range on the indoor range on 3 Thursdays a month right now.
They do have a rule that you have to be a member for a year to get a key to the indoor range, though.
It's probably 25 minutes out of Portsmouth.

Plus Country Pond Fish and Game has a 25 yd. indoor range. Don't know much about them though, plus they're a bit out of the way..
