Yeah its $2 0ff, I asked the ticket guy when I saw someone in front of me get a discount with one. Of course my card wasnt in my wallet,  drrrrI wonder if bimart is the only one that can get a discount...?? |

I was planning on going to the show Friday afternoon. I have never been before, how much time does one need to cruse around. I am going to be looking for an AR lower, and possibly an upper to go with it if I find the right one. Any sage advice? I was looking at arriving between one and three. Any one else going on Friday?

My theory, bring enough money to cover some of your "wish list"....but don't go expecting to find anything. Why? Well, when you are dead set on getting something, you will either A) Not find it....or B) Spend too much money on something that could be had for less elsewhere.
Keep this in mind, deals find you ; you don't find deals.....make sense? As example, last month I went looking for a flat-top upper for my AR, but came home with a Ruger MkII for $160....and didn't see all but 2 overpriced stripped uppers for sale. |

I was hoping to pick up one of those stripped gator lowers advertised in the EE for 89 dollars (Any one know if he is going to be there?). Also looking for a used Dissy flattop with a mid-length gas system.

Ive only been twice......
First time we only went one day and stayed about 5 hours. I only really saw about 11 booths well and skimmed quickly over everything else and I still didnt get to every booth. Ended up getting a few cans of powder, 20 foot of cannon fuse and some playboys. (great place to get the jenny mccarthy, pam anderson and such playboys for cheap) Second time we went we went 2 days. Stayed about 6 hours the first day and 4 the second. There was ALOT of different items the 2nd day. The vendors didnt all just relay out what they had the day before it seemed most had either restocked or brought out what they were just trying to get rid of for cheap. Still only got to see about 15 or so booths well and skimmed the rest but was able to walk infront of each booth and atleast take a glance over the table. Youll always be walking and see something you just have to take a quick peek at, whether youve been in there 4 hours or 8, 1 day or 3. I didnt find what I was looking for at the time (couldnt afford it anyways!). But did get some good deals because it was the last day of the sale. People dropping 20-40% on powder and other datable products. Ohh yeh, be sure to really look at the cluttered tables sometimes they dont seperate junk from the good stuff and you wont always see it on top. |

How hard is it to organize a gun show? I was dreaming of the perfect gun show, and it hit me. Why not just start our own? Basic premise: You can't control WHAT dealers do, but you can control WHO they are. Example: Gun stuff only! No beanie babies, no cheap knives, no cheap swords (I'll allow the yummy jerky), and most of all, NO FUCKING NAZIS! Basically, all we would need are moderators to police the show, banning those who's conduct reflects poorly on the community. |
