What days will you be there?
I need to know when the majority of the people will be there... Also, what "GROUP-SIZED" cookware and food do you plan to bring? (i.e. stove, BBQ, smoker, charcoal, propane (for cooking!), brisket, brautworst, steaks, etc.) I'm reserving 2 spots in the cabin for Friday night, maybe Saturday night. If I can get my tent, I won't need the cabin... (I think I have one now, but I have to check with my brother.) How many spots are there hehe??? As ETH said before: first come first dibbs... but I'm sure things will work out. ----------------------------- Also, I'm thinking I HAVE-NO-CLUE-NOW Night we can have a good ol' Texas BBQ... let's plan on that. We need to plan the food, so we can have some other things besides large chunks of meet . Bunghole will need a blender... |

Wife is letting me come Fri and Sat, so lets get a list going.
I'll bring me, and my Buddy Weiser, my ol' pal Jack Daniels and his partner Jimmy Beam. See ya'll there. TXLEWIS |
I'll try to be there early Sat...maybe leave Sunday night or Monday AM...
Midday Sunday would be the earliest for me... staying as long as people are hanging out and my toes aint froze off.
Drive to the Farm on Friday morning, then all day Saturday and Sunday morning. Gotta be back for Grand Jury duty Monday morning or we'd stay thru New years. The Hun Pharm Philistines.
I'll probably head out early Sunday morning and stay through Wednesday.
FALARAK had mentioned this so I'll bring it up here. We would both like to reserve a spot in the cabin (not together though ). I just need some floor space for a cot.
Have a round trip ticket from Ft Worth to The Hun farm right in front of me: Sunday 12/29/2002: Departure from Ft Worth @ 7:00Am, 8:00Am, or 9:00Am Arrival to The Hun farm: 3 1/2 later. Tuesday 12/31/2002: Departure from the Hun farm @ 1:00Pm, 2:00Pm, or 3:00Pm Arrival to Ft Worth: 3 1/2 later. Of course, the obvious transportation is by wheels. |

I gotta work that Friday, but I'm cleared for Sat. and Sun., with Monday reserved for getting home and sobe....erm, unpacking.
Frisco, if you want to caravan out there, please get in touch with me. I need a guide very mucho. BTW, I'm planning on bringing basic "no cook" food, except for a couple o' BASS (Big *ss Steaks) for dinner. I'm more than willing to wait in line for space on a grill. (If I'm lucky, a drop or two of Balvenie might make the trip, too.) I'll do my best to bring a spare propane tank - but Legs CANNOT SHOOT IT! I'll be sleeping in the SUV - or at least trying to. heh |
Sorry to say none You guys have one more for me, then taper off.
See you in the spring! |
Late Friday thru Sunday.
Those that need to sleep in the cabin are pussies. Accept for ETH ! Get a damn ten and practice for the SHTF! Buncha premadonas. |
Where we meeting Friday-- same place in Decatur as last time? What Time?
Also, I'm thinking I HAVE-NO-CLUE-NOW Night we can have a good ol' Texas BBQ... let's plan on that. We need to plan the food, so we can have some other things besides large chunks of meet . Bunghole will need a blender... |
No problem...Just bring FRS radio to keep in touch...If your bringing the steaks, I'll bring the grill... |
Hey guys: Don't forget to hit the beer/wine/liquor stores before you get to the farm, preferably before you get too far out of the DFW area! I think the nearest Beer/Wine (hard liquor?) store (I think there are 2) is about 30 minutes away from the farm, and it closes early, and good luck finding another one nearby! And half that time is driving on the dirt roads to get out of the place, assuming its dry. If its wet, plan on at least doubling that time, or more...
Done and done. Just so you know, I'll be out of town between the 19th and the 26th. I'll check back in here as soon as I return. |
I have brought an 'Oklahoma Joe' type grill/smoker out to the Farm.
That should be sufficient for most cooking needs. Eric The(Hungry)Hun |
I have a wedding to perform on Saturday....I will be there sunday.....according to the poll, It will be just a few of us left after the weekend
I picked Friday & Saturday, but I cannot change the vote.
But-- I think I will go Saturday/Sunday/maybe Monday and we can have a BBQ on Sunday afternoon/evening? |
Anyone up for a gift exchange on Saturday or Sunday?
If so, let me know, and I will draw the names... hehehehehehe |
Chili sounds good. I would like to taste the famous ChiliLegs. So how about it, Legs? |
Sure!!! If you guys want some, I will make a nice hot batch. Just bring a shovel and TP for later. |
Yahooo....
Called the NFA branch today and one of my stamps was approved on 12/13...Maybe Santa will get here before the Farm trip....If that's the case, bring plenty of .223 ammo!!!! |
Gunpowder, dead meat and beer on a Saturday nite? Sounds great!!! I'll be there.. fullclip |
I'll be leaving thursday night/friday morning. Probably be showing up at the farm around 10am- noon. Depart probably tuesday morning. I'll probably be sleeping in my truck again.
I'll be bringing that BBQ pit again and the little card table. I'll pick up some paper plates, plastic utensals, a brisket maybe 2, some sodas, some kabassa, some charcoal and some bread. Anyone's welcome to cook anything they brought on the grill. |
Congrats, frisco. Do you have their phone # in handy? I need to call them tomorrow. |
Mojo---
The number is (202) 927-8330. You will need the serial number, transferee name and transferer name. |
So let's plan the BBQ for Saturday night... Someone needs to tell ETH not to go to the local Steak House! |
You bumped something in a forum with only 10 threads in it? I don't even have the option to scroll! |

I'm thinking bringing MP5 SD, and M16 with me, and some other stuff. I have a plan, and I hope it doesn't make me look like an a**hole. If it's, I appologize, and I won't do it. 1. You can play with these toys. 2. Your ammo--for the SD: 124 grains factory ammo, 115 grns is OK, but will be louder. No reload! If you don't have the ammo, I can let you use mine. M16: 55 grns factory ammo, such as SA. No reload or Wolf. 3. You can pitch in a little $$--I don't care how much--so we can donate to AR15.com/ charity. I think it's for the good cause and support the site at the same time. Who would want to do this? Let me know. If it's a lousy idea, then I can scratch it off. |
Mojo - you tightass!
What you spend $20K on guns, then ammo, then when it's all done you have to clean them? I think a small donation to the Mojo charity would be in order. Have fun shooting up the ammo I left! |
I know. That is the only way things won't spill. Hey, bro. Your ammo will be here when you come down here for a shoot. |
LOL. Energizer. TRG had this experience at the Hun farm last shoot. |
There should be an extra chair so to avoid just such a problem
Sure everybody's bringin' the good toys this time. |
The AR50's down for trigger maintenance. The Jewell gave us problems at Jeapers' place last month. We pulled it apart at K2 Sports and sent it back to New Branufels for Jewell to tell us what's wrong. Unlikely it will be back together in time for The Hun Pharm Philistines to enjoy. Arock |
Hmmm...Only if Armalite will ship a little faster, maybe before the 27th...(I'm not getting my hopes up!) |
Mojo, that sounds more than fair. I'll be luggin' about 3K rounds of Lake City M193 (Lot 10) to the shoot...
...which is beginning to sound like waaay too little. heh If anyone has a .45 ACP toy, I'll have some kibble for that, too. |
3K isn't enough. Legs can go though that in about an hour.... bump-fire and full-auto will make you go broke! |
I'll bring 3k in tracers alone....Plus the Beta. |
Oh...meant to add that I'm bringing an extra upper and an additional complete B/C so I don't have another problem like last time.
Call me a Boy Scout if you want, but I'll be prepared this time. |
Hey Mojo-- is your M16 a Colt? if so, is it a large hole upper or small hole upper? Does it have the front take-down pin or screw?
Where's a good source for 5.56mm tracers? And what is a good price? Are there other colors besides red? |
I'm loading my own...cheaper than buying loaded ammo.... A couple of good places: www.ammoman.com Nortwest Loading Supply Either way, you better order soon or it won't make it before the shoot. Red is the commonly available color. If you want another color, you'll probably have to "roll your own" tracer. |
Screw. This shoot will be one hell of a New Year Celebration. |
