Put this thread up in general from my camping over the weekend. I found a nice little campsite on the north side of Lake Ishtopoka which is just south of the Sebring airport.

Called Neibert's in the 4900 block of Hwy 98. They got a boat launch so you can get out to the lake. There is a guy that does airboat tours there. And there is a local bar there too. Everything you need.

Is that the old Arbuckle Creek camp ground/boat ramp?

I used to go there all the time back in the 70's and 80's to get out to lake Istokpoga to fish for bass. The creek from the camp ground to the lake had great bass fishing too. Once went up the creek all the way to Arbuckle lake.

Wow, brings back memories.

A family friend was the owner of "Mossy Cove" fish camp on the east side of the lake we call "itchy pussy." My in-laws still have a place there. This is a great lake for bass. I hope to get my boys down there before it gets too hot (& buggy).

Just checked the map, and yes you are correct. That is the fish camp where arbuckle crosses hwy 98. And my dad said he saw a shooting range near the site. I'm thinking ARFCOM weekend.
