I went plinking a few times out in the forest past Estacada off Hy 224 but now that hunting season has arrived, how feasible is this?

Is there a good gravel pit for some isolation or is this just a bad idea altogether?  Is it even legal to be out there w/o a hunting license and a gun (some states are that way)?

Used to hunt up above ripplebrook RS until it got to crowded. IIRC there is a small pit above Cache Meadows. I could be mistaken as it has been a few years.

Estacada off HWY 224? Where is that in Oregon?   I go down to the Beaverton/Hillsboro area a lot and would like to know of some good informal places to shoot some of my products at least 100meters in distance. homish,
