I'm looking for a quiet place/sand pit in the Lakes Region of NH where I can shoot my AR at longer distances. I already belong to several clubs but neither go past 100yds. If any folks would be willing to share their spot with a fellow respectful shooter (and try out some cool firearms as a thanks) I would very much appreciate it (PM would be fine). Thank you.

I've heard of a sand pit down in Hudson, NH that supposedly goes out a good way. Not really a "range" but the local place to go and make noise. Can anybody confirm or deny that? Looking to stretch out the range on the 700P, so any info on legit place to shoot past 3-400 would be appreciated.

Google a place called Pemigewasset Fish and Game.  Supposedly they have at least a 600 yard range and are working on 1k yards.

Major Waldrons is 300 yds

The range out in Pelham is 600.

Sig Academy has a 1,000 yds...but you have to take a class to shoot at it.

Pemigewasset Valley Fish & Game Club does not have a 600yd range.  Only a 100yd and 200yd range.  I wouldn't bother with them anyway.  every weekend for the next two months there are events and those ranges are closed

Nashua Fish and Game has a 600 yard range; you can shoot at the same range from 100, 150, 200, etc.

Bump. Any newly found sandpits, cozy spots in the woods or a generous fellow shooter with a large property?

A member here said that Keene was getting a longer range this year.

I know Nashua and Pemi have 600yd ranges, and Pemi is in the process of building a 1000yd range. You could also check out http://www.nra.org/nralocal.aspx , its what I use when I go to a new area.

That was me.  Cheshire County F & G is going to have a 600 range soon to go along with the 300, 200, and 100 yard ranges.

Nfga has a range up to 600. It is called the Leveridge Range. Shooting Is from 200,300,500 & 600 yards. There is no 100 or 150 at this range. 100 meters/yards is shot at the Fowler range (as well as 25,40,50 yards)

I'm in Wilton...

Does anyone know of anyplace nearby where I can legally shoot?  I don't even need to get to 600... I'd be happy with 100, if I could just get a little trigger time in every now and then.

I can confirm the pit near Hudson as I have been there ... unfortunately as a clown that lives at the end of the road who thinks that the abandoned old quarry/sand pit is hsi and his alone and he causes problems ...

Also Country Pond Fish and Game over in Newton NH has an outdoor 100 yard range.  Covered shooting benches etc.  Pretty decent place to go.  Cheap membership and good people.  If you want to try it out - email me since I can bring guests etc :)

I believe they only have a 300 yard range.  Yes they are working on a 1000 yard range, but there is significant local opposition by most notably an individeal by the name of Alex Ray.  You may be familiar with him as the owner of the Common Man family of restaurants.  Needless to say the chain is very gun unfriendly.  For this reason, local Friends of NRA dinners are no longer held at Common Man event locations.  Hope this helps people be informed consumers.

Sunset Mountain Fish & Game Club in Canterbury has a range of 1000 yrds.  They have a little of everything :)  I loved shooting there.
