Where in the western suburbs can I find ammo cans in good shape?  Shipping charges on tend to be really steep.  I have about 1000 loose rounds I need to store.  Desiccant is a lot cheaper to buy over the internet.  :)

Thanks!

Not burbs but if all else fails Big-R in Morris has a pallet of them.  I think they were $6 or $7.

The Gander Mountain in Geneva has .50cal cans, but they want $19.95 for them.
I've had good luck with www.armygear.net
Their prices and condition of the cans were better than I could find locally.  He's in MO, so the shipping wasn't too bad.
I ordered the 12 pack special.

Yep.  The last 2 pallets they got were pretty good.  The ones they got before that were damn near perfect and they were only $4.99.  They sold 2 pallets of them in less than 2 days.

I went to the Plano outlet last week and they had 2 for $12 special on plastic cans.  Some had the Cabela's marking on them others had the Plano mark.
They have some great deals on soft, hard and "pelican" cases.  I'll be buying a couple cases shortly.

FYI the store is only open Thu-Sat from 10-6 and 10-4 on Sat.

If you check out the local gun shows, there's nearly always somebody selling ammo cans for a decent price.
