Oh you know what I meant. How could they even get a hoove in the trigger guard?  They don’t even have the dexterity to load a magazine. Silly deer

I don't know what the big deal is.   If you need more than one shot to put a deer down, you need to practice your shooting a lot more.  Or make better judgement to shoot or not.
And there have been a LOT of deer killed over the years in PA without needing semi autos.

until recently OH didn't allow anything other than muzzleloaders and shotguns for deer, and now for rifles they need to be straight walled cartridges
Aren't a lot of other midwestern states the same?  Part of their issue is the terrain is so flat.

SE PA is no rifles, same for Allegheny county.   Other parts in SW PA have become so built up, they probably should be following the OH rules too.  the game commission already uses highways to delineate which areas have early or late doe season.   When most of the hunters out there have no idea what's downrange, or too stupid to scope guys on the other hillside, yes its time to treat them like the morans they are.

You can hunt deer with a semi auto shotgun in Ohio.

I hunt with a model 70 and have never shot at a deer more than once. I don’t think it would be any different if I was carrying an ar.

PA is one of a few, if not the only state to not allow semi autos for big game.

Tornado warning here last night. All clear skies today.

How's the weather up there?

Clear in Mercer county at the moment. Wind and rain coming this afternoon. Just when I was going to head in the woods.

Think I heard a guy this morning who must think semi-autos are good to go for deer. He fired one shot, moment of pause then five more in very quick succession. Unless it was Jerry Miculek, I don't think anyone is shooting a manually operated action that fast.

No, because I live in Washington.

What about Altra, or a recommendation from them?

That guy is good.  Brother used him to fit a barrel or something on a nice 1911 and had nothing but great stuff to say about him.

Appalachian Brewing Company.  I've been there a few times before...good stuff.

The best part is that my birthday was a month ago, this is just the soonest we could get everyone together. I don't mind, in fact I kind of like it. You expect birthday dinner on your birthday but this is just a night out out of the blue sorta.

We always head down to Dee Jays for my birthday dinner.  But I haven't been down there in a couple years.

My favorite place for ribs.

I used to go there at the old location alot.

I remember the huge lines outside to get in... Every weekend they would run out of ribs.  They would go outside and ask people who wanted ribs, then count back in the line and  say, "OK, you are the last person getting ribs tonight"

One time, I was the last person.  I felt like I won the lottery.

Happy Birthday!

I used to get ear infections a lot when I was a kid. Tubes was always a threat, but I never did get them.
