I'd love to get one to stalk the woods with this deer season but am afraid they will all be gone before I get the cash to buy one. I'm looking at the lever action style. Has anyone seen them around or are they literally flying off the shelves as I've been warned. Any ideas from the hive mind would be nice. Thanks!

I haven't been looking, but from what I've heard quite a few places are stocking them, along with NEF single shot .44, .357, and .500 S&W.

Still plenty of Puma Model 92s to be had, in .357, .44Mag, .45LC and .454 Casull. NEF single-shot .44Mag and .500S&Ws have been moving briskly. Marlin 1894s in .44Mag are impossible to get; a customer told me last week that even Gander Mountain is back-ordered 6 months on 'em. That problem stems from Marlin not increasing production from last year's levels, coupled with skyrocketing demand throughout the state.

No shit. I watched a guy talking to your "boss" yesterday about that. I almost said buy the AR and get a pistol caliber upper but I kept my mouth shut.

I may borrow my buddies .44 mag after opener in Ky and bring back to use here.

Man I was afraid of this. My friend got an 1894 a few days ago and said his store had one left. I may have to wait until next year unless I can find one on a lucky day.

If you live close enough go to one of our neighboring non-socialist states, like KY. You can legally purchase a long-gun in common border states if that state will allow it. My Dad had to go over to Whitakers in East Louisville (no where near Louisville) to find an NEF in .500 S&W. He hated to not give his business to local guys but didn't want to keep waiting and come down to the last minute before the season is here.

Got my H&R handi-rifle (44mag) out of lay-away Sat. I just need to scope it now.
