All,
Register here! This course will focus on mobility skills that will better enable you to safely execute movement over rough, compartmentalized terrain. We will also demonstrate rigging a casualty into SKED to transport them over a cliff face.
Plan to arrive NLT 0745 for a 0800 start time. Please remember that when the parking lot fills up (which happens quickly on weekends) they will close the park and direct you elsewhere. The closest parking outside the park will leave you with approximately a 2 mile walk in.
For those that posses it, recommended attire is the standard APC field uniform (coyote pants and OD green top).
Gear required is a pack weighing 35lbs, a bump or ballistic helmet, and gloves. Gloves with a reinforced leather palm are highly recommended. Bring chow and plenty of water (expect to go through 3 liters of fluid at the least).
We will commence at 0800 and be rounds complete and back at the vehicles by 1630, on the road by 1645.
If you did not attend the intro course, or have not previously attended a military or public safety course involving knots and rapelling, please plan to arrive at 0700 so we can get you spun up and caught up.
Please feel free to invite friends to this event, it should be a fun time and relatively low stress. There will be the opportunity to complete a short conditioning hike on the front end, but this is not mandatory.
Those planning to attend please sound off below.
ETA please bring a rifle sling.
