I am looking for a reasonably priced dealer to do a transfer for me. I used Mike and Kates in the past but they are now charging $50 to do one.

Any dealers in Phila or Bucks county that are reasonable?

Thanks

I never understood the price on additional lowers or firearms... They can list multiple weapons on the same 4473, they make one call to the state, etc. Seems to me they could be more reasonable when we purchase 2 or more receivers or guns from the same person?

Anybody know what other dealers do?

For the same reason that anyone else charges more for additonal services, they have bills to pay. If you believe it's unreasonable you are free to get your own FFL and start your own business.

For the amount of hassle these guys have to go through with all the "Is my gun there yet" calls, maintaining all of the 4473s for the BATFE and dealing with all the other stuff they do I'd say you're lucky they'll even accept internet transfers. I don't know of a single dealer in the country that doesn't charge an additional fee for each firearm. Just because they all get listed on the same 4473 doesn't mean that they don't all still have to be individually listed and tracked in the dealers bound book.

This guy rocks. His service is excellent and his price, $20 for a transfer, is the best around. Besides that he is friendly and has a great shop with a large selection of firearms and accesories.
