If you live in Illinois you can apply for a permit. They will issue you a permit even though your state does not issue permits. Follow directions on above link.

A Pennsylvania permit is $20.00.

Got mine in about three weeks!

Of course, it's the size of a postcard...

Am I missing something, or does this license, NOT require fingerprints and some type or formalized training?

Sounds like PA CCW is only good in PA, and VT. I'd rather spend the $120 for the FL one that's good in 14 states.

I'm kinda missing something here too. I live in CT, you mean I can fill out that PA. Application
form, follow all the steps, pay 20 bucks and get that PA Carry license. And still live in CT. Is that license good for the entire state of PA?

These are a couple links worth reading:

www.acslpa.org/reciprocity/Pa_recip_agree.htm

Still seems clear as mud to me.

This explains it a little more:

Honored as a non-resident CCW in Indiana-which is 15 minutes from my home, and where I spend a substantial amount of time.

Permit is good throughout the state...even in the pest hole called Phiadelphia.
