I've check everything when i took it apart and didn't see anything (but heck what i do i know..haha). I've replaced the o ring on the tank. i don't know where it's leaking from. i'm going to PBC this sunday again for someone bday and want to get it fix by then. only thing left like you say is replacing the teflon tape but got tired of messing with it. i guess i'll have to rent again if not.
I might have to run out to Dick's and refill the tank and stop by home depot. Someone explain why they don't repair at the field instead. can't imagine you need any big machine or anything.
Mostly about labor, most fields don't make that much and having to support someone solely sitting around and troubleshooting/teching guns all day is more cost prohibitive than anything else.
Even though usually most field hands (refs, vending, marker checkout) are supported by sponsored teams or employees of the shop that sponsors the field, techs usually get paid for their time.
Seriously man, if you can spare about an hour and do some research you can learn to fix your guns, then you never have to worry about it again. I started with a Tippmann in '98, and fixed every gun I had after that (Cockers, impulse, shockers, angels, timmys, matrixs', dms/pms, etc...) and went on to be a certified tech from a few companies.
If you can get enough air to find and diagnose the leak, it should be no big thing. But to each their own.
