I would love to.  But between work and me being responsible for getting the kids off to school in the morning, I would have to say no.

Thanks for the offer.

Tuna kick butt! I put 26 in the boat before I pussed out. 9 of us put 174 in the boat and everyone was wore out so we came back early. 150# of tuna fillets go a long way. We're canning a couple batches tonight. We only went out 50 miles. At times everyone on the boat was hooked up with tuna going every direction. We were constantly moving under one guy and over the next in an effort to keep the fish from getting tangled. Combine that with a pitching boat, slippery blood all over the deck and tuna laying on the deck and things get interesting quickly.

Funky sunfish:

Blue Shark:

There are no tuna on the deck, but it's plenty slippery:

This is what it's all about!

I have always wanted to try tuna fishing, one of these days I will go and do it. Kind of hard for me to justify spending that kind of cash, when I don't eat seafood

In an effort to unload some tuna I go over to the neighbor who has an asian wife. She has never been known to turn down fresh seafood. She wasn't home and her husband says: "Tuna, doesn't that have mercury in it?"

WTF?

Didn't catch it, didn't eat it. They were trying to catch a mako to eat. I didn't know mako was edible by others than asian.

What does a trip like that cost?
One of the few things I miss from San Diego is the Tuna Fishing!!
Me and my Nat Guard buddies used to charter the Ranger a half-dozen time each summer.
Albies will wear you out fast!!! But are great eating and the bellies smoke up nice!
Mako is also great eating, but the blues suck.

*Looking around for OdT*

Hopefully its ok to post the price again since the opportunity is past. $450 plus tax for a two day trip. The weather can be a crap shoot. I have had trips cancelled for bad weather. You don't want to be out there in a storm trying to fish anyway.
