Politicians in some small towns are encouraging it, and people don't want to be accused of racism, so, imo, they aren't bending a knee to God.
You can already see people are getting tired of it interfering with their daily lives. There were protestors yesterday complaining that people were dropping and throwing things at them from upper story windows. But look at it from their prospective, the place where you live or work has been under barrage for FIVE DAYS. Now you have to live under a cerfew. You don't want to go outside for anything, you're worried about your car, or getting hurt or injured when you go outside just to get food. Who wouldn't be sick of that after FIVE days. When is it enough? Yes, yes, we're sorry this dude got beaten, yes, we know you're upset, yes, we know you hate Trump. Is the goal to stretch this out to the election? |

According to my above graphics, there was supposed to be one in Richardson at the City Library/City Hall at 5 today. I drove by at 5:40 (on an innocent, coincidental errand, swear) and there was absolutely nothing going on other than one cop in the parking lot. I haven't been able to find anything saying it was a fizzle, or moved, or rescheduled, etc.
