The head sammich maker signed a contract for a job in Nj and we will be living in Pa. My home state has passed legislation against any awb, what's the deal there? My sil had a baby and wife's family is there so it will be better for her but we will not give up out stuff to do so.  I searched the pafoa.org site but no real info can be dug up there with just my iPhone. I am also concerned with nfa items if not grandfathered in or what not.

Thanks!

You need to fight back from the stupid liberal ones from both nj and ny. I strongly suggest to get the law makers to strength whats already on the books with even more RKBA legislation so there would be no way to remove it if the state gets overrun.

So where in PA are you planning to move to?  Makes a big difference in what sort of local attitude towards guns you'll find.

If you move somewhere in the northeastern part of the state, along I-84 for example, it's very gun friendly.  It's still largely rural and homes are spread out so people have room to live freely.

Somewhere along I-80 getting close to New Jersey is very built up and not as gun friendly, but still far better than NJ.  You need to get about 25-30 miles away from the state line before things open up.  You'd either be around the Blakeslee area off I-80 or Pocono and Tobyhanna of I-390.

Along the I-78 corridor it's even more built up and again, less gun friendly.  You need to head north from the interstate, say along the PA-33 corridor to get out into the small towns in the country where life is gun friendly.

Then down near Philly where the Turnpike crosses into NJ it's about as worse as PA can get without getting into downtown Philly.

As far as any AWB being passed in PA, there's lots of talk being put out by a very few legislators, but the majority of the state and the elected officials do not support any such laws.

Good luck on the move.  I think you'll enjoy PA, especially if you can get into the northeastern part of the state on a 5 to 10 acre homesite.

Pretty much on the n/e corner around the pocconos or a little more south in a rural area. Looking for at least 3ac with a decent home.  Thanks for the info, I passed it on to the queen of sammich making and she said sounds good :D

My head is furry now, that was mid August with the temp at over 100 and 100% humidity.

If you have ever seen biloxi blues, yes it's Africa hot!

PA is for the most part a great place to live, Welcome we need the conservative voters. Oh yea the math is a little funny in the Philly area. Supposedly 108% of the people voted for  0.
