Today I will be picking up my First Real AR. that's right.. It's NOT PLASTIC (Carbon Fiber).. I will post picks later.. I traded my Honda Hood rifle. "NEWS AT 11"
Congrats!!!
Damn, you buying another gun??? I'm feeling left out here......may have to go to the gun shop for lunch.......... |
OK it's a Bushy XM15 so it has the craptastic barrel.. However it is a flat top upper with Detachable handle. I need you to hook me up with a cheap threaded barrel!! Has the what looks like an Ergo grip.. Looks clean. This is a used rifle at a Gunshop but they apparantly like my Carbon more than their plethora of colts and bushies in inventory. I'd take the colt but they are kinda spending and i'd have to pay a difference of like 500 bucks.. ouch.. Since there are no fees involved and my requirements have been met for the most part I decided to trade it up. I will have pics after work.. |
Cool! |
So I did get a real AR this time right? please Colt lovers don't respond! |
So in the past 4-5 months.
- Sold the Walther P22 - Traded the Berreta Storm for a Bushy M17 Bullpup - Traded the M17 for a Carbon-15 - Traded the Carbon-15 for a XM15. So, why didn't you just get a regular one like we all told you in the first place? |
Yup, just buying a normal AR15 6 months ago would have sold all your problems!
It all depends. Was this Bushy cheap, normal price, or $3000 when you factor in all the trades? |
ummmm..... I wanted to see what it was like on the other side of the fence.. They need a Blockbuster rentals for Guns i swear.
1 million dollars! |
I have lost maybe about $300 bucks total.. Not gonna cry about it.. I didn't trade the Bullpup for the carbon.. That was sold to a friend and my Carbon trade i'll lose $170 but that was paid for by my company.. hehe. |

ATF Form 7 |
Unless you have two guns pointed at him. |
If you are going to be at the next practical rifle match, I might be able to help you out with the threaded barrel part. Shoot me an IM if interested. |

So what is wrong with the barrel? It is chorme lined and 1/9 twist so it should be ok.
It is.. and i suppose.. I like the M4 barrel.. looks cooler. + threaded (16") version ofcourse |
Well, don't feel too bad. My first AR looked like a Mini-14 . I finally learned, too. |
well i plan a POF upper on it soon.. so hopefully I have saved enough up and ofcourse if the PS90 is readily available at that time or the XCR I will get one of them if not both.. HEHE.
WHAT??? XCR?????? Will never be avail, sorry to burst your bubble PS90????? Cute gun but too much plastic!!! Get an adult sized gun, go 7.62 then Face it dude, this one is the exception, but no matter what you'll get, we'll all flick ya crap for it |

Next, getrid of the bsa red dot. Loose hte therm mags and you will be good to go!
And get rid of that nasty lookin carpet and put in some hardwood floors... |
What 1911 did you dump for a glock? 2 weeks after? Geeze, learn the gun for chrissakes. |
Noob. They do jam and kboom. You havent shot one enough. I have not been to a single qualification at my agency where a Glock hasnt malfunctioned. Usually 6 shooters on the line and at least one always malfunctions in some way or another. We shoot 2 courses of 50 rounds. So that's been a consistant 1 or more malfunctions in 600 rounds. Btw, it's with FMJ ammo! |
ahem... I have put 1500 rounds through mine and no jams.. no kaboom.. I'd know.. duh.. and 1911.. are for old people edit to add: BTW that was a Quote "GLOCKS DON'T JAM" from UnkaBoo not a real statement. And second my glock is 7 years old and my brother Has already had about 1500 rounds through it himself.. and recently it had it's barrel replaced because it was free form PPD. Nothing wrong with original barrel.. it was just FREEE!!$!@#%!@# |
That's not a BSA!... LOL I got rid of it already,. that is some red dot i had before .. it works. for now til i get my EOTECH.. and What's wrong with Thermold?.. all my other mags are Metal.. that's just the one thermold i got for free.. looks KEWL! |
1500 rounds, let me know when you actually start shooting My 1911 saw 1500 rounds in the first couple months I owned it. Btw, I bought it in 1992 Incidentially 1992 was the year my Glock 22 kboomed. Dont worry, I'll forgive a noobie for running glocks. Someday you'll discover a real pistol. You are learning on the ARs, you'll come around. |
