My dad had a couple classic cars he brought up here from California 14 years ago. They've been stored indoors, he hasn't driven them in years. I know I had the one out like 10 years ago. Last week I hauled 1 of them and found that 1 front brake was rusted solid. I mean so bad that I was just dragging it to load it on the trailer. Today we hauled the other one.... all 4 brakes rusted solid and the tranny is apparently rusted as the shifter won't move.

Coming from the california desert I didn't even clean my black powder guns and they never even rusted, no kidding.

You haven't seen rust until you've lived in the midwest.

I've seen three year old trucks with rusty fender wells.  It's rough in the salty winters.

My vehicles rust a lot more when they sit. Just something to think about.

Yeah, I notice that. It also seems like they rusted worse being indoors. This were clean "california cars". Not now.

What part of OR? I5 corridor? Central OR has little rust. I had a bare patch of metal on the tailgate of my truck for maybe 7 years and it never rusted. It was a barn queen and winter warrior. Rusted in about 30 seconds down here in MS.
