Ok so due to a request to set the official date i have came up with the night of friday january the 21st.
All right boys and girls. Its that time of year again. This is our fifth annual match this year and i would like to thank everyone who has helped in the past. Lets hope this year is just as good. Ill post all the rules and other info later this evening. Internet is acting up a bit. But here it is the official thread. First off i would like to thank everyone who helps make this such a great event. I personally recomend that we declare amnisty on all critters untill the hunt. I mean you dont wanna go scout and kill everything in sight. This year the rules are the same as before. Also im gunna try and get some kind of prize sponsor for the winning team. Nothing big just something to show that your the winners. Ok everyone. Sign ups are open please send all your info to my email so i can get this years list going. We will discuss teams at the meeting unless you want to enter your full group ahead of time i will need your name as well as you screen name, location ( north or south) and general location of where at ie las vegas , sparks , wherever. Also if you have any alergic reactions to anything ie med , RABBITS , whatever. Contact info. Cell fone an a email would be nice. Also we wanna keep most of this info out of mainstream trafic. Get my drift. The scoreing will be jack - 1 point yote - 3 point every kill needs to digitally photographed with time and date stamp. If this is not done points will NOT be givin. Please email all pics to me. [email protected] pic will be uploaded to a photobucket account and processed for points.. packing list..... Plenty of ammo... if u plan on using a certain gun bring the ammo to feed.. Pack light on the guns.. rifle pistol is great. You don’t need ten guns to kill bunnies Compact food if you need to eat.. mre’s work great. Hydration source.. camel back is good but if you need to bring bottled stuff make sure u have a place to put it. Gloves.. a must.. like I said it will be cold.. Head cover.. hats are nice but beanies are better.. ear cover is important too. Spot light if u have one.. without lights you cant see the bunnies Weapon light.. you cant always rely on the spotlight to see what your shooting while out chaseing a bunny Batteries for weapon light.. also a must.. dead lights dont do crap. Dress warm top and bottom.. Appropriate footwear is a must.. no tennis shoes or flipflops.. its gunna be cold.. we are gunna also limit the number of persons to no more then six per team. It works out the best that way. With each vehicle being its own team. Jon. |

That's right, I couldn't remember, it was my first time with that rifle, and man, it was awesome! and yes, it was quite full, but we did pretty good, we'll do better this time... |

I'm in, but I'm on ride-along. Kind of burned out on always being the driver. Any Gardnerville or Reno team, you've got me.
|

Keep me in the loop!
Never done it before, but sounds fun. I'm in Vegas. |

I've been working a lot of 7 day weeks recently. |

not sure on dates yet trying to get people to sign up first and there has been very little official intrest so far.. heck i may just keep this to a local event this year since there has been so little intrest up north .

I think you better pick a date John. The date will make a difference as to who can sign up.
People are probably waiting on a date BEFORE signing up. At least thats how it is with me. Shift work runs my life and it sucks.....but it pays good. |
|
How bout Jan 150th...........translates to May 25th +/-....which = warm for us Northies
Pick a couple of dates/weekends.......then let the teams decide the final ?? .............this far out, I am pretty open for any weekend When was last years B/R ?...I cant remember? |

That's pretty dumb. If you're in charge, say a date and people will give you "official" interest... Some people have jobs and families. |

Condition 1 Industries will donate some prizes again this year as well as having a team out competing. Hopefully I'll be leading if I'm back in Vegas in time.
CONDITION 1 INDUSTRIES website BTW, if anyone wants a vehicle decal with their team name (and logo?) shoot me a message or email...[email protected]. |

|
Is it to late to change to the 22nd....... (Sat. night - Sun. morn).......that way, Sat. workers are still in???
From the few people I've talked to, ALASKANFIRE isnt the only one stuck working Sat. |
|
The wife and I would come down from Lake Powell for this. Any teams in Mesquite area? We are good by our lonesome as well.-Art
|
|
Well heres the bad part. Now everyone is saying they dont like the planned night after i was told to pick a night. Sorry but date stands as friday night of the 21st. I cant make everyone happy so im sorry.
Jon. |
|
How about teams just do which ever night is works for them (on that weekend)...............but only one night obviously...........then tally up on Monday??
This is all based on an honor system anyways........... Or add a poll to this thread............1. Friday night........... 2. Satuday night...........3. Night of teams choosing on given weekend |

Why don't we start tonight, and we'll go until the 21st, and you have to store them until the 31st for them to count? Pigeons should count too.
We should make up our own rules, and do what we want. |

You can do whatever you want. The whole point of the battle royale was a north south thing So ideally a couple guys from each end would get together and pick a date. pball is the only one who steps up to run the thing so his rules go. Maybe we will try a spring royale for the northies. Dont know if I was into freezing my ass off again anyway |

Nice Hadji !!................thats not what I meant............... Just for the record......I suggested in an earlier post, if Pball could pick a "couple" of dates...... and then see which date worked best for everybody ? That is all |

Yes i set it up as a winter north vs south event. And i understand it gets a lil bit colder up there. And i also understand that there will be people who want to join but cannot due to work. Such is life. And as far as honor. I dont know you an you dont know me. But will you lend me a $1000 without any questions asked. Didnt think so. Its held on one night and pics must be in by the following night. Thats the rules man. Gives everyone the same chances.

If it is too cold or on a day you can't make that is just life. It seems like the last couple of years this went from a fun event that we all looked forward to enjoying together to a bunch of bickering and complaining leading up to a night we all split up and do our own thing. I miss all of us getting together and lighting stuff on fire with gasoline, shooting parachute flares, sending Buzz Lightyear to the moon strapped to a pumpkin, and maybe even a little bit of hookah time |

Ahh the good ole days. Andrew does have a good point. I think i need the pic up some tannerit

pballjunkie666, I sent you an email to sign up for this year.
I am in the Reno area and as of now do not have a team. I would be willing to drive (Dodge Dakota quad cab 2WD) if we can put together another North side team or would be happy to fill an empty spot on an existing team. Please shoot me an IM if you have a spot on a team up North or want to put one together. Thanks, Rigmarole. |

This used to be an event where we met other Arfcommers, and had a goodtime. Laughed that a guy was deathly alergic to rabbits, and still went out and shot them. We competed against the North, and it was FUN. Last year was a huge thread about the rules, and this and that wasn't fair. Then we had a few companies add prizes and people changed. It went from truely about having fun, to we have to win the prizes. In the south we had guys assigned an area, or whatever, and then they went into someone else's "area". threatened with being DQ'd. Let's go back to the old system. If there are prizes, maybe award them to the best Bunny mask, or team outfits/name, or even most killed rabbits in a Prius. |
