Today I walked into the sporting good section of walmart to find the guy logging in a new DPMS sportical.  I could not help myself and purchased the rifle for $587 I was surprised that included two 30 rnd mags as well.  I know these are bottom of the barrel rifles and will not stand up to the custom Spikes lower and BCM upper that is sitting buy in the safe at the moment but I figured hell if they decide to ban them the price will more than double being as they are selling on gunbroker now for $1200 plus.   Anyways here is a pick of my new DPMS for under $600 in today's market.  I don't think I did to bad

At that price, slap an optic (or a set of irons) and a white light on it and you've got a great truck gun.

That was a good buy..............I would buy one at that price if I found it, and change the upper out with the one I have stashed

Not a panic buy... That is a steal compared to the prices on the gun in our local stores...

To bad I don't have an extra upper laying around.  I have the bull barrel version from dpms on my coyote rifle and its a damn good shooter easy 1/2 moa with off the shelf ammo. If this pencil barrel will hold 2 moa I'd be happy with it as a range toy.

Bro, we'll chop the tube and retool the gas and put a flamethrower under your seat.

If you can find one of the SKS "Paratrooper" models, that is a great truck gun.

I remember the last time I bought an SKS; a Chinese-made with milled trigger guard, purchased "new" from the PX at Camp Lejeune the day I got out of the Corps....$74 and tax-free cuz I bought it on base.  Circa 1994.  Soon after the Assault Weapon Ban I traded that SKS straight up for a pre-safety Marlin 444.

The SKS costs over $300 nowadays, and the "Paratrooper" models are over $500.

Well got another break today.  Picked up 4 tapco InterFuse AK Mags for $12 a piece at the bass pro.  Not the best price ever but they were in stock and I only had a few mags for the AK.  Damn this panic crap making me spend money

Grabbed the last Sig M400 before Christmas way way out in west GA. Normal price. 2 guys waiting behind me to see if I put it down. Told the clerk I needed a 4473 and handed the rifle back to him. The 2 guys asked if there were any more. Manager said that it was the last one in 150 miles of the store and just showed up that morning. As I was leaving a guy came in and asked about the Sig he called about that morning - sorry dude.
Actually a nice rifle. Not sure what to do with it so am selling the Patrol.

Me too, I got an extra Mcrib today just in case . Seriously, why not get another EBR right now if you find a normally priced one. It's not like you're going to loose money on it.
