I'm in OKC. I was wondering if there was a national forest or something like that that would allow this type activity. I figure if we starting planning now, we could have enough time to set it up for when it cools off. Damn hot already! I'm always up for the plain ol shootin too!

Camp Gruber... between Muskogee and Tahlequah.... miles and miles of public land on the old portion of camp gruber... There is a 100m rifle range 25m pistol range, both of which are unsupervised but kept up, tons and tons of 4x4 trails, ponds and a shit load of nice spots to camp and hike....

IF IT DOESN'T RAIN..... I'll be at the Lexington Gun Range THIS saturday morning/ early afternoon (Aug. 21.04). Should be me my dad and a buddy from work. We'll have an AR-15, Mak-90 and a Mini-14 and probably a 30 Cal Carbine tearin up some targets. Along with numerous handguns as well. (pr of 41 mags, 357/44 Mag (44 mag case bottle necked down to a 357..lots of pressure and speed! Sweet round).  I'll probly have my digital camo's on, makes for good picture taking fun. hug.gifHope to see some of ya'll out there!

Does the Lexington range allow full auto?  Since it's unsupervised maybe a better way to word that is have you ever seen anybody shooting full auto there and did they have any problems with park officials?  I might be able to make it Saturday, and I'd like to know what toys I should or shouldn't bring.

You DO NEED a hunting permit since it is on a WMA.

Sounds good, we'll probably be on the pistol range part of the range. When you pull into the shootin range, take the 1st right and we should be there. Hope to see you there!!
