Last time I heard that is was the USS Enterprise (aircraft carrier, not starship), and a Coastie in a lighthouse.

Still funny, though...

EETS ALL BULLSHEET.

www.snopes.com/military/lighthse.htm

www.chinfo.navy.mil/navpalib/questions/litehuse.html

The story has been going around since the 1960's.

People keep changing the details and forwarding it around.

Funny story/joke, but that's all eet ees.

Yes, I was in England.

Got back at about 8:30 last night. The trip itself wasn't too  bad, managed to upgrade to business class, so plenty of room to stretch out, and Avis ended up giving me an E class Mercedes as a replacement for the piece of broken junk they had reserved for me, so I couldn't complain about the travel part.

I had heard that one too -- don't remember who were the parties involved but the story-line was the same.
