Went to the Wallyworld in Manassas looking for 9mm and .40 , the uy at the counter told me they were out and didnt have a clue when they would be getting any in.

He also told me Va Arms is out of pistol ammo as well, I have NEVER seen Va Arms out of ammo, anyone know if this is true?

you beat me to it, they had plenty of 9mm and .40 on Friday night and was told they were having a tough time getting .380

as of last friday (3/6) though, they had about 1500 rounds less of .223 after my visit

Bass Pro in Ashalnd has nothing.

Gander Mtn has lots of .40 and 9mm but no .380

I commented on the lack of 9mm at the stores I visited today to my wife and she said:

"That's odd, 9mm is most prolific handgun round in the world."

I said, I knew there was a reason I married you.

Due to new government regulations concerning the purchasing of surplus brass, we are removing sales of all 223 and all 308 until further notice. Below is a copy of the email we received from Government Liquidations.

"Effective immediately DOD Surplus, LLC, will be implementing new requirements for mutilation of fired shell casings. The new DRMS requirement calls for DOD Surplus personnel to witness the mutilation of the property and sign the Certificate of Destruction. Mutilation of the property can be done at the DRMO, if permitted by the Government, or it may be mutilated at a site chosen by the buyer. Mutilation means that the property will be destroyed to the extent prevents its reuse or reconstruction. DOD Surplus personnel will determine when property has been sufficiently mutilated to meet the requirements of the Government. "

This is a huge waste of taxpayer's money. The value of these products is reduced by 80% by going from a recycled product to a scrap product.

And just when you thought that ammo was already hard to get.

The DOD doesn't use .223 nor .308. What is the source of that message?

the walmart in Dulles had some 9mm and .40 Blaser Brass, Id say 30 boxes of each or so. They also had a stack of 20 rd boxes of UMC .223

No .22 bulk packs though, which is what I really need.

You guys are slacking! I went there today, 16 March @ 1100 and they still had around 80 boxes of .40 and 40 boxes of 9mm. I just may have to buy the rest of the 9mm if no-one else is going to.

I was just checking on .380 auto ammo over at Cheaper than Dirt and they have zilch.

Completely out of stock on all .380 ammo.

At this rate I'll have to buy a 9mm handgun and hoard what little .380 auto rounds that I have left.

Jeremy

ETA: I just checked over at Midway Usa website and they only have one kind in stock. Everything else is on back order or they can't get it. Same goes for Ammunition to go

It looks like .380 ACP rounds are getting extremely scarce now.

I never understand this Walmart, they are right in the middle of the most liberal section of Fairfax and always have the best selection of handgun ammo. I usually stop by and get a box of something a week. David

That's why they have ammo. They get the same amount as the other WalMarts, but there are less people buying it due to the demographics of the area.

I won Pick 3 after playing for like the 3rd time ever so I had a little bit of play money. 9mms there went up from 10-11 to 14 dorrahs. A few bucks less than The Armory and they just had new shipments come in. -1000 rounds now ofcourse :) heehee. Cheaper Than Dirt is also selling S&B 9mms for 10-11 a box.
Link Posted: 3/22/2009 3:27:57 AM EDT
No more 9mm at the moment but still have around 40 boxes of .40 otherwise the shelves are bare.

Went to Bobs Gunshop in Norfolk during my lunchbreak today. The procurement guy was griping about how he's fresh out of 9mms. On that note anyone need 500 rounds of 9mms? I sure could use a stripped lower *cough cough*

Edit: Plus cash ofcourse.

Went to the Wal-Mart in Fair Lakes today.

You want 9mm or .40S+W?

Holy mother do they have it

No .22LR value packs, though.

Sorry 'bout that...

Link Posted: 3/26/2009 6:08:16 PM EDT
I got 1k of 9mm WWB at a wal-mart in Norfolk last week, and I even left some on the shelf for others.

Fairlakes had Blazer brass 40 and 9mm yesterday.

Sterling has some Blazer brass 40 and 9mm yesterday. They also had Remington Thinderbolt .22 in 50 boxes for $1.92. Did see a sign in the case with all three "Limit 3 per Sustomer".

Of course I waited for service and had them paged twice but no one showed after 15 minutes. I simply left as I wasn't feeling good in the first place.

Manassas Walmart had 9mm in stock last Sunday and that is now sold out. As of today 28 March they had about 50 boxen of .40 and 20 boxen of .45. I think the .45 was selling for $14.97/box of 50.

I went in there 2 weeks ago, they had NOTHING! I guess Manassas got a shipment in.

It sounds like what you need is a 2yr old that poops a lot. This way you get to WalMart and Costco much more often.

Been there done that, TWICE , with the cost of formula and pampers these days, I couldnt afford to have another baby lol. I was actually taking the kids to Chucky Cheese that day and stopped in there on the way.
