Hi all,

Long time reader, but this is my first post. I been reading posts off and on for a couple of years on arfcom. I'd thought I would finally  "break the ice" and say hi. I've absorbed so much information off of here I was able to assemble an upper for the first itme with much confidence. SO this is also a thanks letter. I hope I will be able to bring some knowledge or even some interesting topics to the forums.

BTW, some (not all) of the people from OR and NV really hate us (or at least I get that feeling)!!!hinking.gif

Welcome, there is a lot of info here. Are you in Norcal  or Socal ?

I live in northern California.  In Santa Clara County.

I been shooting a lot lately at the Field Sports Park. Its run by the county.

I do a modest amount of hunting (birds, rabbits, pigs) in about a two hour radius around the area. Its very discouraging because I only have access to public lands. I want to varmint hunt with my AR. However, in the places where my buddies go I don't have that "specific permission" mumbo jumbo.

Your not too far from me in Solano county. We have a couple of good guys here that are from Santa Clara. And I know what you mean about the hunting I hunt a lot  public land is tough.
