Anyone know if the Newberry (near Gainesville) gun show will be worth the price of admission? My wife has never been to a gun show, and she wants to experience the lunacy of it all. Any of you guys planning on going?

I might go check it out. Its closer than Ocala and I can enjoy some of Rocky's delicious BBQ (and girls). The last one I went to sucked except for a really nice .38 S&W Webley I missed out on. Granted that was a couple, no wait 6 years ago.

Go through the only traffic light next to the only gas stations...

That's a good question. The time I went it was on the west side of town in a little convention center. Anyone know where it is?

Newberry is about 15 minutes west of Gainesville on State Rd 26. The show is not worth the admission as of two years ago...

BTW- if you blink you can miss the town of Newberry, it might take all of three minutes to drive from one end to the other....

Well, I just decided that I'll be there. What the heck, can't be all that bad, right? I looked to see when it opens but couldn't find any info. I assume 9 am?

Ha! I can't believe it, but my campus newspaper actually has the gunshow listed on their calendar, and they say it opens at 9. Click on March 28th on the bottom right:

Holy crap! That liberal rag allowed that! That's hilarious bro.

Well I went to the copter show instead...how was it? Did it suck?

It was pretty bad. One guy tried to convince me his $14/20 rd box of PMC Bronze was the current going rate. Wolf for $375/1000 (better than Pickett, at least, who not only price gouges but also places messages on their sign like "Your guns will be banned tomorrow"). Glocks weren't as inflated as ARs, naturally. I think I did ok ––- bought a G19 reg-cap for $20 plus $6 admission.

I'll skip then. I'll just go eat at Newberry Backyard BBQ and save the admission price.

The Alligator USED to be a lot better. At least they used to have a funny section. Now its too boring to pick up for free.
