I just got done watching ABC news and there new week long report on so called riseing violent crime in the USA (which is false). It was basicly a 5 minute add for banning all of our AR's calling them "priviously unseen firepower on the streets". They also blame states like Oregon that curculate guns due to lax laws. I like to ask anyone here to write ABC news and tell them what we think of there so called reporting.

Time for all gun owners to get ready to fight back at the lies  the TV shows all the time!

I wonder what would happen if most gun owners took to the streets like the hippies and protested the heck out of stuff like this.  I bet it would freak the liberal minority out.  All I can say is it seems none of these idiots remember what happend because of prohibition.

We should engage in some form of expression regarding the people's rights.  Personally I feel that we are ever so close to losing many freedoms.  All in the name of security.  I don't mean security in the keep the terrorist out sense.  I mean personal, financial security.  I had a discussion with an enlightened intellectual colleague (read ever learning but never coming to the full knowledg of the truth) of mine regarding this issue.  We were talking to this young woman who had grown up as the child of a Soviet college professor.  They left the Soviet Union when she was about 11.  Her take on it, and my colleague agreed, was that the Soviet government took care of everybody.  They never had to worry about things like housing, career, etc.  She said it wasn't so bad to trade a bunch of freedoms that really aren't used in exchange for absolute security.

My question to her was " Why are you here?  You should go back and take him (my colleague) with you."

Anyway, that is the decision making paradigm many in the younger generation have.  In my opinion it is intellectually lazy.  I would prefer to be the trust fund baby that allows my friend to ponder such ideas.  I'm sure his dad, who made all the money from his sweat and blood, would kick his security loving a**.

The problem I see is that the silent majority is against this.  If we remain silent we will not long remain the majority.

Letters to newspapers, TV stations, and elected officials work.  Also letters and/or telephone calls to the advertisers.  It doesn't have to be some letter to be published in the Op Ed portion of the paper.  Just a quick note stating "What is this garbage you are feeding us? Don't do it.  Me and my friends would suffer through all the darned advertising if you had programming like _____."

That gets peoples attention.  With the exception of a few of the Liberal royalty such as Sorros, Clinton, Fonda the rest of them are just gold diggers.  The media may want to disinform you but they want your money more.

There may be other ways to protest the taking of our rights, without acting like idiots, but I can't think of any off the top of my head.

It is our freedom and it is slowly and quietly being taken away.

Very good point.  Money is a powerful motivator.

It's only a matter of time before they start attacking free speech too.

I can hear them now, "Access to websites like AR15.com should be blocked in states where ARs are banned. They have no need for access to this type of info."

They already block satellite access to local news in other states.

I used to watch New York local news and never saw such attacks on Hillary as by her Democratic party "friends."  Those new stories never made national news as they are censored. Many other stories also never made it out of the local area.

The reason given for blocking access is that local market advertisers must be protected. Of course that's ridiculous, I won't be buying cars or mattresses in New York and shipping them here.

But the legal president has been set by that action for some day restricting newspapers to their local areas. Imagine if you were told you could not subscribe to the Dallas Morning News, or even the Portland Oregonian because it's too far out of your local area.

I imagine there would be quite the Q&A on here too...........

"Are the SS109s penetrating okay?"
"How well does the blue stand out against forest?"
"Anyone have extra mags for all these G36s we found?"

Yep, quite the Q&A

I suck at spelling too, maybe that's why I'm such a stickler about it. Who knows, could be the hairy toes. Anyway, I just type it all out in MS Word, then cut and paste.

Or you can use Firefox.  It has an add-on (or maybe standard?) that spell checks everything you type just like Word does.
