I didnt know if everyone read the old thread so i started this one. I got some info I thought I would pass along from the gunshop here in town.

If we buy 5000 rds or more we can get 55gr FMJ PMP ammo for $85 after tax per 500 rds. So this would be 170 for 1000rds after tax. This is a local guy here in elma and he has about 5000 rounds in stock now and he can get more. Let me know what you thinkg. If you want to do this let me know and we will get the ball rolling on this.

Are we going to post ammo info here or on the origional thread?  I don't want to have to post on both.  I will have prices on Q3131A and XM193 on Sunday.

JAFO-Once prices are listed can we get a tack on one of the threads for a week so.

Ok guys here is what I found out at the Portland show today.  I talked with 3 different distributers and found out that what Q3131A they have is all they will get from Winchester for a while.  The same goes for XM193.  So if you find a good price on it you had better buy it.  If we were to order 10k+ rounds of Q3131A he could sell it for $166 per 1000.  That price would be considered Oregon and no sales tax would be paid.  I would have to drive about an hour to Salem and pick it up though.  For Q3131A it would take about 1-2 months to get that quantity in.  All three were sold out of XM193 and they do not expect to get any more back in.

I talked to another distrubutor and he said that he can get in Sellier and Belliot (SP?) in for us at a much better price.  The only catch is we would have to order in 20k rounds (20 cases).  Price per 1000 would roughly $140.  I know some people don't like S&B.  I have shot it and it is decent ammo. YankeeFan and I haven't had any problems with it.  This would be shipped to Portland and I would pick it up there.  It would take him about a week or two to get in 20 cases of it.

Too back we aren't all packing AK's instead of AR's.  If we were to order a pallet of AK (74,000 round) per case would only be $59 per 1000.

I have checked for prices in the SW and it looks like Vader has the west central part checked, anyone in the Seattle area and on the west side want to see what they can do.  I would like to really see this thing happen.

Hold on a moment! Many of us are smart enough to pack AK's also ;) *This*, I am definitely interested in. I just need a couple weeks for some paychecks to roll in. I need that for .223 also. Anyone else interested in the 7.62x39?

7.62X39 I am interested in for sure, but your talking lots and lots of cases for how many guys??? I would probably do 4-5 so that leaves what 69 more cases??

Nightsniper where abouts are you getting the stuff in Salem?? Interested in some of that too...

It won't take that long. guys are selling 1000 rounds of 7.62x39 for $79.00 to $89.00 a case at the shows.
I gotta think that we can get 15-20 people together to pick up that much ammo.

I am good for 3
My buddy BJ is OK for 2

I know that 74 cases sounds like quite a bit of ammo.  But I figure that at that price you can pick up 2 cases for almost the price of what one is running.  I personally would be good for 3-4 at that price.  If we can come close to the amount I can go and see if anyone on the OR board and see if there is any interest there.  Between me and the guys I work with we should be good for 6-8 cases.

Keep in mind guys that is ALOT of ammo and it will take a little work to get going but it will be well worth it.  If we were to do this I would like to pick it up close to the time we have another shoot down here in this area and bring it then, or if someone has a garage between SW WA and Olympia take it there for a short time to store it.  I don't have room to store that amount of ammo.

Does anyone have a 1 ton truck that would like to put it to use if we do this?  I know I have seen a few nice big trucks in the pictures from the past shoots.  The drop location is about an hour south of Portland to give you an idea.  If not I can barrow a friends truck from work and get it to my house in SW, and would have to make 2 trips where ever in my truck.

If we have enough people serious about this I will put it together.  I just don't want to have 74 cases of ammo spoken for and then only have people send me money for 30 cases of ammo.  With my schedule at work I can't deliver this ammo.  If you want it you will have to come and get it.

I have a 3/4 ton truck. I might get an AK. If I do, I will get a couple of cases.

I'm thinking 4 cases, but I need to know how soon this might take place, so I can get a paycheck or two set aside.

I will have a firm answer tomorrow about the 7.62x39 ammo.  I talked with the distributor today to lock down a price and now is saying that he never quoted my this price even though YankeeFan and my wife were there.  Now he is saying that he might be able to do $69.00 a case.  I told him that I want a firm price tomorrow.

I will have a FIRM price tomorrow.

Ok guys.  As far as I am concerned the 7.62x39 ammo deal I was working on is dead.  I emailed them last night for a FIRM price on a pallet and the response that I got was that the best they could do on a pallet was $71.00 per case.  Kinda funny how the price just keeps creeping up.  They are also telling me availability is limited now.  I find it funny with a company as large as this and the amount of money they are making that the price just keeps going up.  To say the least I am very upset about this and I appologize for even posting about the AK ammo.

So who wants to run with the ammo buy now?  Vader and myself have done a little leg work.  Anyone interested in the .223?

Damn, at that price my brother was gonna be in for 15 cases.

Crap!  I was actually kinda excited about this.  I recuited about 10 more cases from friends last night even with the $69 price.  Oh well, we'll figure something out I'm sure.

Ok guys, I am bound and determined not to let this group buy die.  I am working on getting prices on a bulk buy of XM193.  I am hoping to have a price posted by the end of the week.

I have a price on XM193.

If we group order 10,000 rounds we can get it for $95.00 delivered for 500 rounds.  20,000 rounds would be $94.00 deilvered for 500 rounds.

If anyone can find a better price let me know.

Is anyone still interested in a group buy?

20,000 rounds for $94!!!  I'll take 40,000 rounds!

I assume that price is per 500?  That price isn't much better than Ammoman.com, or any of the other deals out there really.  I was hoping that a significant group buy would get us somewhere in the 'hood of 16¢ to 17¢ per round, delivered.

Who did you talk to?  Maybe I'll call Miwall or Kesselring's and see what they can do.

Miwall won't deal even with a bulk order.  I have already checked.   I don't know about Kesselrings.  See what you can do.

well if you want to get PMP ammo it will work out to about .17 per round
Link Posted: 5/8/2003 12:13:06 PM EDT

Dude you can buy PMC ammo for .16 a round at the Gunshows. I have shot several thousands rounds of PMC and that stuff is pretty good ammo. That's the ticket.

[#25]
I agree.  If we are going to do a bulk group order it needs to be at a savings worthy of the hassle of putting the buy together.  That 7.62x39 scenario is what I'm talking about.  Big savings for a big buy.  Otherwise, PMC at .16 cents or so at the gunshow is fine.

I agree guys.  Although the $71.00 per case of 7.62x39 is not much cheaper then you can buy it at the gun shows.  To bad they backed out on the much cheaper price.  So for me I am not interested in that.  I have tried my best on this.

If anyone can do any better then I have please do so and let us know.

Who was it that was getting the SA battle packs for $45 not to long ago.  I would be up for some of those.

I have a line on SA battle packs for $45.00 how many do you want. I will contact James and see how many he has left. I know that we have a total of 7 sold so far.

I'd be in for at least two SA battle packs for that price!

2WP-It wasn't meant like that.  Meant it would be better for me to buy things at the end of the month rather then the middle of the month.
