FYI, on 288 south out of Houston headed towards Pearland there is a large land parcel cleared out with a "Bass Pro Shop coming soon" sign on it!!!

Where you been dude that sign has been up for a while. They are also supposed to be building a Hilton in the same area.

+1 i don't understand. Academy kicks their ass on a daily basis. i have been in a couple times and each time i walk out to go to a store that is half the size and zero crap on the walls. i mean if i want to see junk i will eat at Friday's. |

I haven't been that way for a while. I don't have much reason to venture outside the loop.  BPS is still good for "tire kicking" on a lot of products. Besides, I can wander around in there while the wife goes shoe shopping or something.

I've driven out to the one in Katy numerous times and every time I go they never have what I'm looking for.
No thanks! I'll be shopping at my BRAND NEW Academy store that opened up on Friday 10/27! |

Well here in Pearland there isn't an Academy that's all that close and convenient to go to. This bass pro will cure that.
