Asking for a friend. He's wanting to build a Remington 700 and needs a good gunsmith who can press the barrel into his receiver. (I'm not real sure if they're pressed in, that's what he was telling me.) We are located up north near Wichita Falls and can drive to drop off and pick up.

A Rem700 barrel is screwed into the receiver.

I take all my stuff to Freddie Johle on Bonnie drive. Just off Hatton Rd. He is very good and the price is reasonable. Phone 723-2506. He is very busy so sometimes he is a little slow, but his work is great.   fullclip

in dfw the best bet for a precision rifle is Speedy at SG&Y. he is in roanoke just north of texas motor speedway. builds sub moa 1k yd guns
