Just got this from a former NG member.  He washed out of Basic/AIT as a cook and joined the local militia.  Seems he needs some help, and well, there is not much milita help I can offer:

Sarge, I was wondering if you all could help me with my load out as a recent member of the Washington unorganized Militia. Now, this isn't airsoft, this is the real deal.

Right now I have an SKS with a Choate stock and bipod with a Leapers 3x9 scope ( I am my teams' designated marksman). I have a 30 round Zytel mag attached for breaking contact.  For fixed security or food gathering I have a Mosin 44 available for added accuracy.

I normally carry 100 rounds on patrol ,but would bump that up in a SHTF scenario, up to 150. I carry a Bryco 380 in a tactical drop holster and a survival knife in a sheath on the left of my pistol belt. Being a size 48 waist I still have plenty of real estate to fit more gear on. I carry my ammo in a pair of E German clip pouches.

The only other team gear I have to carry is the Commadante's beer and the tripod for the cooking pot. Okay, so what else should I have?

Can any of yo militia dudes help out this fine american?

I hope you're kidding.

If not, just point him in the direction of the target range, down range, and save everybody a lot of time and trouble.
