Straightforward question to all NE PA shooters, where do you shoot?? Looking for a range thats fairly local, thats public, affordable, pistol and black rifle friendly. I'm looking to possibly set up some training courses in the coming months and will need a decent range, as well as possibly starting a small gathering/club with some like minded individuals to meet monthly for a little fun. PM me or post and let me know about your range. Thanks!!

I'd like to know as well....

I live in Jersey, but would love to find an outdoor range in very-eastern PA.

Any free Public ranges where you can just drive up, pop the trunk and shoot?

I guess "my backyard" isn't the answer you were looking for?

There is a state gamelands range on route 6, 1 or 2 miles east of Lake Wallenpaupack. It goes out to 100 yds.

Yes it is free to shoot there. It is on the left hand side of the road if you are driveing East on RT6 from the lake. 100yd rifle range with benches, to the right of that there is a pistol range. Best to go on a weekday during the day, less people. Hope this helps you out.

It's SGL 183. Like mentioned, go during weekdays, if you go during hte weekend stick to the 100 yard side. Some assholes love shooting up the pistol range (25 yards).

Has the 3 shot in a rifle, 6 in a handgun rule, bring plenty of mags!

I shoot there almost every week/every other week you'll see me shooting positions off of a multicam mat and a lot of .22 these days!

If you live in NEPA there are a number of clubs that offer lots of opportunities.
I belong to the Factoryville Sportsmans club.
We are located off Rt. 6.
I forget the web address but I am sure one can google it.

Hey you Luzerne County guys, did Luzerne County Law Enforcement & Associates Pistol Club ever reopen? It was in Bear Creek PA.

I used to shoot IDPA there a lot but then they lost their lease.

OT but in PA can you go to any old quarry or deserted dump and shoot off a few rounds? Ie, any discharge laws I should be aware off?

Im just across the border in PA but would want to take my sister shooting at some watermelons and junk TVs. Anywhere around Easton would be great.

there really isn't anywhere over the border, to shoot junk, etc...

about 20-30 years to late bro
