I arrived in the parking lot by 0650....voting by 0655....mission completed by 0700.
All was quiet, too quiet if you ask me.

there were around 75-100 people at my polling place at around 7:15 when myself and the Wife voted.
+2 for GWB!!! |

People I work with are reporting a 45-minute line in Piqua.
I will vote after work. I've never had to wait at all--curious to see what it will be like. |

Quiet here. Had to wait about twice as long as '00.
Only person outside was a exit pollster asking if moveon had contacted me. Politely but firmly said no. I had ideas, but kept it civil. |

Driving through the near west side of Cleveland, Kerry and Dennis signs were the rule...how depressing!
Now that voting day is here, it's rainy, light and spotty...it's time to get dressed and get wet.

Canton.
Long line in front of me. 75% of them either in the wrong place or trying fraud. Some were pretty fidgety. Most I think were just first time voters though. People bitching about the little paper puncher pokey things not working. (They worked fine for me) Very tense atmosphere. Several guys in suits watching like hawks but staying clear of the action. A couple of police officers who wanted to be any where but there. I think I would have been more at ease voting in Afghanistan last month.......... |

Non eventful. Arrived, was 4th in line, checked in, signed, waited 5 minutes, and into the booth. All the right buttons pushed, all the little green arrows in the right place, checked twice then thrice, pushed the Cast Ballot button, here recording tone, Done.

My Brother and I voted an hour ago. There wasn't a line in our district but the parking lot was full. We're still using the old punch card ballets. How many voted with punch cards?

Punch cards here as well. About an hour of waiting, but all in all, not too bad. My only annoyance was while I was waiting they set up two more voting machines. If you had them sitting there all along, why not set them up?!?

firswt time i ever used a magic marker to fill out a ballot in findlay. had a offer to assist me filling out the ballot though as i walked in. seems they though i couldn't pick the canidate for them. then again they were wearing a kerry buttonh.gif

We had punch cards. there was aline at the table where they were showing you how to use them.
I would have thought my 3 year old could have figured the system out. The poll workers were doing a great job, but you could see the stress getting to them. I do not envy their job today. |

My town is pretty small. I was in and out in about 10 minutes. It was the electronic touch screen voting system. Fairly easy and it seemed to have a lot more safeguards in place than I originally expected. The only thing that troubled me was that they didn't ask to see my voters registration card or ID. Are they supposed to? They asked my name and address.... I could have easily used my neigbor's name and address...

Arrived approx 0720, maybe 10 people in front from door, lady says something about the maps on the glass, and a few people go to other door, (wrong door, my chunk of neighborhood is split, this area use this door, other area-other door)..... then I be 6 from the book lady, fella up there is from Vandailia, says he moved to Troy, now the line comes to a dead halt.
Afew minutes, the booths are all empty, we waiting, and they farting trying to call election board to see what to do (they were doing a provisional thing). still waiting.... finally they decide to let some of us around. Did not leave there till 0740. |

Only 15 states require ID.
They only asked my name. When I had to sign, I could see all the names and addresses and party affiliation for everyone on the same page. I never really payed much attention to that before. I wish they would ask for ID. Seams basic to me. |

Okay, I live in Oregon and we really do not count [probably a good thing since Oregon is so liberal] so I thought I would read and see how things are going where it really counts. Good luck to you guys out there! We have vote by mail [only - no polls] so there is no more waiting in line in the rain or snow but a big Thank you to you that do!!

Was a Poll worker wearing a partisan campaign button? If so this is illegal. Electioneering of any kind is not permitted in the polling place and should be reported. |

There were maybe 10 cars parked whe nI arrived at the local church to vote. The lady took my name and address and had me sign in. There were only about 5 polling stations and waited for about 1 minute. We're still using the pin punch system too. The only thing out of the ordinary I saw was that the churchs driveway was lined with kerry signs.

Because those were the cheating machines... they must have been monitoring the votes and realied Bush was getting too far ahead so they pulled out the rigged machines. Then when Bush wins they can make an anonymous call that this polling station was using broken machines and none of the votes shoudl count. |

They didn't ask for id, just my name. (they were too buisy chatting with each other). |

Punchcards in Cincinnati as well. The wifey and I went together at 0830 and walked right in. We were done with our Replublican tickets inside of fifteen minutes.
Just got off the phone with the kid and she is headed in that direction. |

I had paper punches here. Got in and out in 5 minutes, but I heard there were 1 long lines earlier in the day. All Bush/Cheney stickers in the windows of the cars!
No trouble or observers messing stuff up, just country folks doing their patriotic thing. Wearing my sticker proudly. |

Only took about an hour here on the East side of Columbus. Other than the lady trying to get her elderly relative into line ahead of the other elderly folks waiting in line while the nice gentleman with the cane and his wife with the walker in line made nasty comments to her about being a bitch. Strangely the elderly relative seemed happy to be out sitting and waiting her turn. |

5 mins here in Port Clinton, we still have to fill out a card with a pencil, you know like the old school tests.
Some lady in the parking lot with a sKerry/Ed sign saying if you need help voting see me. She was well over our distance req's though. |

pencils and circles, here in clermont county--like a standardized test
  it was pouring when i came out, a bit after 6p--big busy precinct--a little slow and the workers seemed worn out--lots of people still coming and going though |

arrived at 3:15 pm, was back in my car at 3:20pm. Punch cards is what we used. No ID needed either. Just told them my name.
